Tried the rotary

When you do burn the paint (intentionally, of course) post back here or PM me to lemmeknow how the victim pad turned out. I can imagine that since these pads are made of a synthetic foam, they will melt with the pressure and build up of heat created by trying to burn the paint. I don't know how hot it needs to be for this to happen, or how hot the rotary can make a surface so there's no way I could guess the outcome :nixweiss

I've seen the edge pads. How do you like their version of 'quick connect' type thing? It's a snap-on type system to change pads, right?

I really like the edge system! I do like the pc pad size on the rotary (easier to control for rotary newbs). The LC pads with the concave area help reduce splatter though.

When polishing at or near an abrupt transition between body panels, tilt the rotary ever so slightly, ease way up on whatever pressure you have on it, and make sure the direction of rotation of the pad is from the "high" side off the edge. This will help to avoid edge burning.
