Tried Hi-Temp First Time

I use both HT Heavy and Light cut.

Heavy Cut works gr8t with a rotary (breaks down fast and does not dust unless you work it to long)

I use the light cut either w/the rotary or PC, depends on the panel.

I also have tried their "Black Velvet" wax. it didn't do what they said it would as far as hiding defects in black paint. But I has used a sealant from my local Autobody shop and maybe that's why.

All in all I like their stuff and probaly will continue trying their product line. The cost is right and they really work well.

P.S.

I have an extra 32 oz bottle of Heavy Cut (screwed up when ordering) if anyone is looking to try it. I was going to send it back till I found out it would cost me more than I paid for it in shipping.

I use their Light Cut and Paint Sealant with great success. I like their products and they are good way to keep costs down also. Their sealant seems to last a good amount of time anywhere from 3-4 months, for the price I think it cant be beat. After the first month I wont lie, their lsp does lose its slickness but customers have told me and I have experienced good beading month after month.

I have most of Hi-Temp's exterior polishes, sealants, & waxes. I have been using them for years. They are fine products at a great price. If you have questions about there stuff, let me know. :up

Light Cut is perhaps one of the most widely used products among body shop people who use the Hi Temp line. It does not come in a fancy bottle, no fancy labels nor any exotic fruity smell. Just a product that flat out works and does exactly what it's suppossed to do.

I prefer Opt Polish over the Med. cut but if price is an issue then the Med. cut can't be beat. I still use the LC from time to time as it is a great paint prep when working on cars with mild swirls.marring.

If you wish to get a great look on silver cars then try the LC as the cleaner/polish and then top it with Hi-Temps Fine Finish. I am not sure what it is but 24 hours later the silver paint, at least on the cars I have used it on, just seem to glow. Give it a try.

I have found that the paste wax Pizazz, is also overlooked.

I've used their Med Cut and after a few details just found it either spread too much or didn't break down all the way. I feel they are really geared for the experienced and rapid professional. Good stuff, but I don't like going cheap with polishes or waxes. Their cleaners and dressings on the other hand are good deals! As is the Prep Wash. TOL sells a load.

PS. I'm willing to sell Med Cut or just trade, I hate to see this stuff just sit around.

People......

As I get more and more involved on the chemical/manufacturer side of detailing I am shocked, at times left speechless, knowing just how similar many products are to one another. Many of you also would be totally shocked, and perhaps really pissed off, if you found out that some of the products you are buying are actually all designed, produced and packaged at the same place. I know of one company that produces product (private label) for (for several actually) another company and they claim it's their product yet they don't make anything at all.

Hi-Temp's products are geared towards the body shop people first, detailer second, so they usually have aggressive cleaners/levelers, most are paint shop safe and they work at what they are designed to do. Hi-Temp is perhaps a little behind when it comes to keeping up with some of the new, modern materials (chemicals) out there but you still get alot of bang for your buck if on a budget. Hi-temp also produces their own chemicals/products so you know that they are very familiar with their products.

Get this....most of you are paying a good amount for window cleaner, right? Well when I found out that window cleaners are 99% water, 1% surfacant (this ratio is different if a color is added) and 100% marketing I was rather ticked off! The money I have spent on window cleaner over the years....no, the money I have spent on colored water passed off as window cleaner is astounding :furious:

I am right now using my own formula. I have not spent a dime on window cleaner in the last few months.
