Well This lexus GS400 was treated very poorly and detailed at our detail department at the dealer ship. This is what they did to the poor hood of this lexus.. the owner was very unhappy with their work and came to me to make his car look new again. Here is what I started with...

a close up of the swirls/buffer marks it had a hollograming effect to it. there was dried QD on the paint, thats why it looks a little filmy.

Here is that same hood after I clayed it, DACP with yellow pad, BF polish, and BF paint protection. The Meguiars Dual Action Cleaner Polish is the absolute best abrasive I have ever used. It is slightly less agressive than 3M FI2 but 100x easier to use. I got absolutely no hazing using the product and I will continue to use it replacing my 3M SMR and 3M FI2(if anyone wants them PM me!). I also loved the BF polish, gave an awesome gloss and very easy to use. The BF paint protection was also extremely easy, but if you over applied it (which i did in spots) it becomes like klasse SG and is slightly hard to remove. Other than that I love it! Here are the pics, enjoy!

ahhh swirl free, the owner was VERY pleased.

just doing the exterior took me around 6 hours. That hood was in horrible shape, and the owner really wanted the hood spotless. I love bringing the car out to the owner and seeing how amazed they are. :xyxthumbs

Thank you for all the kind remarks guys. I shoulda taken pics of the interior, the leather came out great with Zaino Z10. I tried the pinnacle leather conditioner on the rear seat, I really like that stuff. It really softened up the leather more so than Z10. It also gave the car a nice new car smell. In fact the owner noticed the smell right away and was amazed. He said it best himself, "It is like getting a brand new car."

Great work Al!!!

Seems like you really like the DACP, I’ve never heard of it but am always willing to try new products. Does it seem to have any oils or fillers in it? I have FI2 and Griot’s set of polishes, I like them both because they seem to free of oils and fillers.

What did the guy bring the car into the dealership for in the first place? I’d throw a complete spaz if they did that to my car. I saw a black Mercedes on the road with paper plates and it was like that all over the car. They must have bought the 5 year Teflon coating.

Wow, I wish I saw this thread earlier! What a difference and great job with your PC... what a wonderful swirl-free shine!
