trashed 325i

**oops, wrong section. Meant to have this is the pro b&a**

I rarely post up work but this car was a special case.

Every once in a while I get a call for something like this. Those calls where once you get there and eye ball the ride you wonder how they can let it get that far. I suppose with kids it's not that hard (I will know soon myself :D).

Leather treated, vacuum, carpet spot treated(shampoo/steamed), vinyl cleaned, door stops cleaned, glass, engine bay spray and scrub, wash, wax, clay, single step.

Every inch of this 325i was trashed. Every crevice covered in filth.

The vinyl before cleaning(btw, every handle looked like this before and after)

Vinyl doors and handles after

The floors didn't have any mats on them. :confused Some of the staining would not budge.

Afters. I don't have a great selection of afters. To be honest when I am in the middle of a 9 hour detail I start to tire and don't feel like making a great log of my work. /shrug

What product did you use on the vinyl on the doorhandles and center consoles?

The APC and a Woolite/? mix also? What'd you mix teh Woolite with, water?

Thanks for helping a new guy learn a little..

Holy Smokes!!! Let's hope it stays clean for atleast a week now :) I have to clean my wife's mini van out once a week lol

Very nice that door pick is amazing!

On a side note I do not care how busy or trashy anyone is, that is just disgusting.

i been in your shoes buddy. It simply is amazing at how people drive around $20,000 or any car for the fact of that matter and allow it to get that bad.

I get frightened sometimes when i get vehicles like that but even after a good vacuum the car looks 100x better.

I too am interested to know a little more about the woolite and what mixture you use. I know it gets mixed with water but at what ratio?

What is safe to clean with that woolite/water mixture?

Nice work! I'm sure the owner was amazed in the end.

The mixture has been mentioned thousands of times. Most are using a 20 to 1 up to a 10 to 1 ratio. For leather cleaning, I use Joy dishwashing liquid. Previously I mentioned using 3%, but I find that to much. Now I use around 1%. Also, I use a Scotch Brite delicate duty scrub pad for cleaning.

Jean,

I hate looking at your pics. As a certain Sixth Sense boy would say " I see dead leaves on the ground." I am on my way back to Atlanta and do not look forward to raking. What is up with this cold weather? It was high 70s when I left Miami.;)

Wow, I'm glad I wasn't eating while looking at those interior pics. :soscared:

The sad thing is, it will probably be allowed to deteriorate right back to the same level again.

The before shots of the interior made me throw up in my mouth. Just nasty.

Excellent turnaround. No longer a bio-hazard. :up
