Trached Porsche and a hammered DENALI *56K*

Accumulator, I did the wing by hand using the same products. I was more concerned about cleaning underneath the wing, but I didn't know how to raise it while the car was parked. I called the owner, but he didn't know either. Anyone know?

OK, I kinda figured it might've been by hand (shudder).

My '91 C4 had a switch to raise the wing, you'd raise it before shutting the car down and IIRC you could also do it with the ignition switched to "accessory". Can't remember where said switch was though...I'm sure that car has one, people like to raise the wing without going up to the speed where it automatically deploys. If the owner doesn't figure it out just look in the manual (heh heh..the good old RTFM advice ;) ).

LOL, said manual was missing--I did try. :D

ebpcivicsi- Heh heh, OK, should've known you'd think of that :D Yikes, I somehow doubt that the owner knows everything in the manual so well that he oughta to drive without it :grinno: I *had* been thinking the people here were too hard on him over the car's before condition, but now I too have a less-than-charitable opinion of the fellow, at least when it comes to his Porsche ownership :chuckle:

LOL, he was a very nice guy, but by his own admission, he was *not* a car guy. His friend worked for a dealership, got the car, and called him. He told him that it was a bargain (IMO it was), so the guy picked it up. :D

Well, maybe he'll *become* a car guy, owning a ride like that. Heh heh, glad to hear he's OK...maybe he'll do a little studying of the manual now that he's found how complicated the car might be compared to what he'd had before.

Not collecting dust, but I am getting much better with the rotary. :D

Then you ain't gettin' it back!!!! J/K :D.

Joe: Your work is truly impeccable. The work on the wheel area really blows me away. Couple questions for you:

- What product do you use to wipedown after 106?

- Did you polish the black wheels with a buffer? If so, what was your process?

- Have you thought about offering a convertible top package? Liz's top looks noticeably more sheeny (canvas sheens, not shines :)) after a 303 clean/protect session.

- Any reason you haven't continued using Z-sealers?

Eh....I don't usually tape the cars off that much really. Only Porsches along the roof tops and convertibles.

I don't do too many cars that have side moldings like BMW's so I guess if I did I would be using more tape also.

Hehe, fine just keep it then. :D

On the Porsche I used ONR 6:1 to wipedown with, on the Denali I just used OCW (that's why it's x2).

I don't really offer a convertible package, but I typically clean, then use the raggtop protectant--I am out right now. :(

I used Z5PRO on a new car prep job for a customer yesterday. Does that count? ;) It looked great on virgin black paint, didn't hurt that it was a Shelby GT500. :D I just go through phases when I want to change up and using other things in the arsenal.

Hey, when you take the pictures with the 50/50 and the light stands do you do so with your camera on flash or no flash? Do you take the photo from an angle or directly in front?

Thanks
