tr6 vs. Daimer 300cs

I saw the title of the thread and thought it had to do with an accident between a Triumph TR6 and a Daimler Chrysler 300C! :LOLOL

I got the TR5 for my hobby of detailing my own cars. For the professional, I can see the value of 'continuous fill' with the TR6. I have used it on my car's interior, AC vents, underneath the car to get off years of oil and grease, around the house in the bathroom, to kill any bugs that may live in our mattress and pillows, cleaned up my white tennis shoes, cleaned off spots on the carpet. All in all, I love it ad am looking for new ways to use its power.

I mainly use it to blast hard to clean areas of the interior like around controls and switches, cupholders, in between seats and seat pleats and sometimes to spot clean small lightly dirty areas of carpeting and seat fabric, especially those areas where my extractor cannot get to.
I use the steamer in combination with compressed air and to be honest with you, I can't see myself doing interior details without either one of them. Best of luck on whichever one you decide to purchase.

You might also want to look into the Desiderio and one other one that I can't think of the name right now. I have heard good reviews of these units as well, although they are very pricey at just over a 1000 bucks to more than $2,000.

It makes simple work out of cupholders with dried up sticky soda for example. The only time I use it on carpets is when I am spot cleaning certain areas and don't feel like unloading my extractor and waiting for it to heat up where it wouldn't be very time efficient or necessary for such a small area. I'll then just follow up with a wet/dry vac. There are steamers on the market that emit steam and also extract that are designed for full carpet cleaning, but I think that sort of unit would not be practical for a mobile operator, which is why I purchased a hot water extractor also.

IMO the ability to refill it without shutting it down and waiting for it to reheat is very helpful...I really like the 1500C even though I'm not as steam-centric in my detailing as many people here.

yes i know this is an old post but thats the idea i would love to know more from people that used the tr6.
As the guy above me asked how much of a difference did that extra heat and psi in the 1500c model make?

Maybe this belated response will still help somebody out.IMO the 1500C works better because of the increased output pressure, more than because of the temperature, but I have no doubt that the higher temp is also beneficial.
For me, it was a case of the steamer being able to do a job (cleaning cad-plated brake calipers) or *not* being able to do it. My slightly less powerful steamer (~75psi, forget the temperature rating but it's not weirdly low or anything...) simply didn't do the job. The 1500C *did* do the job, and it does other nasty jobs a *WHOLE* lot faster.
I still use the smaller steamer for little cleanups around the house, but even for stuff like that, I'll often drag in the big ol' Daimer 1500C because it simply does everything better.
Pricey, but money well-spent in my case (and I'm not a pro detailer). I'd buy the most steamer you can afford, and if that's not much I'd wait and save up for something worth having. My cheaper consumer-grade steamers (SteamBuggy, Bissell) weren't worth buying *IMO* even though other people I know are happy with them.
