Toyota 4 Runner Single stage?

So as I began polishing my bro in laws Toyota 4 Runner, I'm thinking it has single stage paint. After claying I began with Menz IP on a 5.5" white polishing pad and after part of the hood my pad is black (car is black) so I'm pretty sure now it has single stage. So I'm wanting to make sure I'm going to be ok continuing along with the IP and white pad. It has so far cleaned up a lot of the light swirling and scratching, but I'm using a PC so 100% correction isn't very easy. So far it looks good, although my pad might not clean up very easily. Am I safe using the IP on single stage? Planning on doing the IP, then either FPII or PB's Black Hole and then 845 to wax.

Well I stepped it up to the orange pad, the white pad was diminishing the swirls but wasn't really removing them. The orange pad did a much better job although I'm still not getting it as good as I'd like, but his paint was in awful shape. There's a ton of chips/scratches that probably can't be taken out at all. I'm trying to avoid using 105 on his soft, SS paint. He doesn't really care much what it looks like, I basically forced him to let me detail it, lol, but I'm going to do my best. It will look good, but not quite as good as some of the detail jobs I see done here. But this is my first time tackling a black vehicle!
