Touch up paints

Currently I use the Duplicolor touch up paints for my black Grand National. I keep the bottle in my room at room temperature and haven't exposed it to cold weather. I've had the bottle for a long time and today I checked it after shaking it and saw that it was a little thick. Is it normal that touch up paints thicken up overtime even though you store them at room temperature? How long does the consistency of the paint lasts before it thickens?

Yes, I had some red paint and it was thicker than syrup on a winter day.

Dealership sells little kits with OEM paint and clearcoat.

P.S. I have a friend with an 87 Gran National, has an upgraded turbo, PCM programming and a very old school radiator (not alumimun). It put down 330 rwhp and 390 trq

You can contact CorrectColor. They can sell a small bottle or an spray can if you prefer.

Touch up paints thicken as the thinner evaporates, even in a closed bottle.
