top notch detailer needed in central nj

I suppose I could clean the car top to bottom before the detailer arrives. Love doing it. It's fun cleaning a New Vette. The paint is sure soft.

Is this cold weather a problem even with a clean car?

I think that's why the mobile thing scares me, but I would like to use there services. If I was looking for a plain wax job I wouldn't care as much. My major mission here is to correct the swirl markes.

Thanks

The cold weather is a very big problem. Currently I use my customer's water and electricity. I'm planning on purchasing an enclosed trailer in February, a generator and 90 gallon water tank, this will make me fully mobile. As Jngrbrdman said you can always find a way. I have a three car detached garage that I use sometimes. If you feel more comfortable about a fixed shop I suggest you stop by and see some of their work. Another alternative is to wait for spring.

I have an offer for you and NYDetailer. I detail out of a huge, heated mechanics garage in West Orange (about 15 minutes from Newark Airport). They are closed on weekends but that is when I use the shop. Washbay, heat, the whole nine yards. If you want to use NYDetailer you are both welcome to use my detailing location for the day. I'll meet you there, open up and give Brian the guided nickel tour of the facilites which should take about 3 minutes.

My way of saying thanks to Brian for all the help he gives to us new guys all the time.

Just shoot me an e-mail if you are interested.

In this weather at this time of year..... Yeah. I'd say that would be a good option considering what it is you are planning on doing. No point in removing swirls if they are just going to be put back in before the winter is over.

Question; I live in Sussex County (can you say cccc-cold?) and often wondered how a mobile detailer in NJ (north of Trenton) could use a trailer. Certainly parking the trailer outside overnight products would freeze, seperate and be ruined. Even driving around all day much of what is in the trailer would freeze.

Humm,

I went out to get a bottle of wine.

BlackStone Merlot 2000. Good Stuff! I have to say this internet is great.

Anyway,

NattyBumppo, what an offer!

I would love to take you up on your offer. I live in North Brunswick but will travel. I will give NYDetailer a call tomo and see what he thinks. I much perfer doing it this way.

:up

Thanks

Mad props to ya, Natty. That's a very generous offer. :xyxthumbs :xyxthumbs

That sounds good to me, I like meeting other detailers from autopia.

In this weather I freeze my a$$ off but I dont stop. I shut the water off after each use so the outdoor pipes dont freeze. I wash

the car then start to dry and detail right away. No time to stop moving, if you stop moving you freeze.

It's tuff but i enjoy doing it.

you can give me a call so we can make a date 718-344-9628

NattyBumppo - I do not have a trailer yet, but when I do get it I will be keeping it in my garage. As far as chemicals freezing, once the weather nears freezing I move all my chemicals into my basement.
