top notch detailer needed in central nj

Long story short. I am lookin for a great detailer in NJ. I have a 2002 corvette that I put some deep swirls in the clear coat due to being an idiot at the time and drunk. Actually they are lines because I went bumper to bumper motion. Use compund when I tought it ws the 3009. Car is torch red! I used the 3m fine cut compound due to some fine scratches I obtained this summer and made a mess of the hood. I have the 3009 but figure leave enough alone.

I love this site and fgure this is the best place to go. I did the compound by hand. Currently I have the 3m hand glaze hiding the swirls as best as possible.

please help!

:scared hope you find someone. if you're not a member already - head over to corvetteforum.com and ask over there too.:wavey

look forthe member NJdetailer , I think he's in your neck of the woods , I'm down by philly & ac. Probally alittle to far to travel for me. Hope you find some one.

I second NY detailer, pretty close to NJ, I think the Outerbridge Crossing or Goethals Bridge is near him or somewhere around there.

Are you anywhere near Old Bridge NJ? I will make it a trip there sometime in June or so when the weather is nice (gotta give my godmother's car a complete detail.)

Seems that NY Detailer likes helping out fellow members. I like that!

NY detailer is mobile and he is always one of the most respected members on the board and his know how and work speak for itself. You won't be dissappointed with his work.

Shoot me a PM!

Before I determine who the heck is polishing out these swirls, I have an important question.

I feel very uncomfortable with the no shop thing? How in the world do you guys detail the car at the customers House/Apartment. I don't have a hose/water access.

The car is dirty. I can't see washing it in 45/30 degree weather using a gallon or so of water you bring to me?

Should I clean it at a coin wash first?

Isn't it way too cold outside to do this kind of thing?

I figure a nice warm garage with great lighting has to work to my advantage.

What am I missing.

Thanks,

Jason

Most of the professional detailers on this board are mobile detailers. This time of year is a little rougher for the mobile guys. It would be nice to get it into a nice warm shop. If you don't have water access then it could be a problem. Whoever details it will need water access. Either they will have to bring it in a tank on a truck or they will have to use a hose onsite. If water access is a problem for you then I'd suggest looking in the yellow pages for a shop nearby. Or you can email some of the guys who have offered and see what their suggestions are. Don't doubt the ability of Autopian detailers. We are like the Post Office. No matter if its raining or snowing, the cars must be cleaned!
