Top Gear and Red Necks....

Amusing episode of Top Gear, altough I was really shocked to see how the damage of Katrina is still there, after more then a year.

Shame on Bush to spend silly amounts of money in the Far East, while his own citizens are bordering on the wrong side of life quality...

 It isn't the federal government's responsibility to bail out people who live in hurricane prone areas. Billions have already been spent anyway, for your information.

Maybe you ought to get your news from something other than Top Gear.

That Top Gear was pre-arranged, point.

But the damage that was still visible is not I presume ?

(We have the same problem here were I live with flooding sometimes, it's the peoples own choice to live there)

Anyway, were in the hell did he find that cow beast, and how did he put it onto his car's roof ?

LOL

However, the local government has shown themselves to be ineffective, so someone has to step in. Most of those people were too poor to really have a choice as to where to live.

That's how I see it, anyway

Congress has approved over $85 billion in direct spending and about $8 billion in tax relief for the region. Please, a quick look at Belgium's history can fill volumes for something to be ashamed of ;) Stick with what you know; waffles and beer.

Back to the video. Very funny, but obviously staged.

No offense, Spilchy, but I think that was a little harsh to make assumptions about him like that, for no reason. Maybe there has been a lot of money allocated, but you wouldn't know it from the condition around there, because of piss poor management and bureaucratic BS which is the US disaster response system.

I don't blame anyone for thinking we're not spending money at all, because we might as well not be.

The American way of throwing money on a broken system doesn't really work out too well. People are just too proud to admit it.

keep in mind that top gear was filmed nearly 1 year ago.

You're right Scott, this is a car related forum...

If I told you my ideas about Bush, I probably get banned from the Internet and will be collected by MIB... :grinno:

Did somebody see Top Gear yesterday ?

Funny idiots try to shoot a Reliant (3-wheeled car) into the air with a copy of the trust rockets of the Space shutlle....
