Top 10 cars out of production that should be brought back

Supra was the first thing that came to mind before even opening the thread. 3000gt should definitely be up there too. No point in anything like a chevelle, GM would do the same thing the did with the Impala, Monte Carlo, Malibu and Grand Prix, make it a FWD V6.

Just the thought of the V6 camaros and Mustangs disgust me... Just stop neutering cars America.

I dunno, I bet that 6 cylinder Mustang has some great handling potential. I was especially kinda intrigued by the supercharged version that Shelby built. Even the stock 6 makes good power compared to a lot of "fast" cars, and I read an article recently that had a stock Mustang 6 posting some incredible lap times.

Guys don't beat me up but I would love to see Chrysler bring back the K Car! I had an '85 Reliant a few years back and to date it was one of the ahem...nicest cars I've owned. Handled like a champ, even when the PS went out. handled better then anything I've ever driven in the snow.....I couldn't spin out and get stuck even if I tried to on purpose. Sipped the gas like it was a Long Island Iced Tea. Sure it wasn't fast and furious and had ample amounts of power at the drivers disposal. As a Daily Driver/Beater that wasn't engineered to last over 85k, there's still plenty still wondering the roads that have lasted 5 times longer then what is was expected to. If I ever come across on in relatively good shape, especially one with good paint!

For giggles, I'd like to see what a Gremlin would look if it was made these days.......lmao!

So with that being said, I would love to see Ferrari do a throw back to the mid/late '80s Testarossa and Lambo with the Countach LP5000QV.

Too bad there is no more Pontiac as I'd love to see an updated version of the Fiero.

Yes my taste in cars is very erratic to say the least!

But mustangs and camaros are classic American muscle cars. With the v6 versions they turned into rich 16 year old girl's cars. The supercharged V6 is a little different, especially being built by Shelby. I just look at them as not real sports or muscle cars without the V8s. I guess its just a matter of opinion as far as that goes.

brownbob06- Oh yeah, just opinions, so no :argue I just find it interesting to discuss.

Nah, Mustangs and Camaros are the quintessential American *PONY* cars, the name originally coming from the Mustang. Muscle cars a different animal and yeah, those need a big ol' mill in them.

Heh heh, I guess I just don't get how a car that can smoke most classic exotics (and most classic muscle cars too) can be "rich girl's car" (not that I have anything against rich teenaged girls, I've seen a few of 'em outdrive every guy in sight).

But eh...it's all about the sales numbers anyhow. Without all the six cylinder versions getting sold we simply wouldn't *have* the current Mustangs/Camaros/Challengers/etc.

Exactly, it's also referred to a CAFE, and if a company doesn't meet it, we would see a lot less of the newer horse power, V8's that are back on the market.

In the past couple of months I have driven the 2012 Mustang and Camaro V6's and I was impressed.

I have also been priviledged to drive several of V8 versions of these two vehicles, and the impression was "beyond" impressed.

Did find, in my opinion, the Camaro's, just the normal, go in and buy one versions, had a superior handling suspension, not that the Mustang was anywhere close to "bad", not at all, just the Camaro seems a bit more responsive.

I would not be ashamed to own either car with a V6, and this is from an old fart, V8's in my blood, guy.

Grumpy
