Woah, I see Nu Finish and the OLD A2Z in that collection! :D Seriously though, those are some impressive collections.

Redcar Guy - Looks like you took advantage of the Eagle One Tire Cleaner sale at Sears. :up I did too. At $1.07 per bottle, who could pass that up? ;)

Nice collection.

I see you use valugard products too. What is your favorite, outta all those samples? Mine is New Car Prep, Finishing wax, Rubber protector, clear coat polish.

I wish I was that organized right now. Thats what I dont like about being a mobile pro, I cant keep my things in one place.

Hey Bolton... is that the new Zymol QD I see in that blue spray bottle? How is that stuff?

heres my stuff, i wonder if red car guy will go through it by years end.

I dont have as much as you, but then only have 1 car to use it on.

a close up.

The meguiars mirror glaze stuff is swirl remover, show car glaze, fine cut cleaner, and #26 liquid.

I have 3 pastes S100 (fave), Mothers (2nd fave) and #26.

Myles,

Do you have any virgin oil analysis and/or used oil analysis for the Shell Helix? What type of drain intervals are using with it?

Paco

This may be a stupid thing to say but when the oil is new must be very slippery stuff for the engine can pull a stressfull load under low revs and the auto gearbox wont kick down. Now that I havent changed the oil in awhile the gearbox kicks down more. Thats one thing ive noticed.

Now I only use Shell Helix Ultra 5W 40, as its fully synthetic. Shell Helix Plus etc isnt.

The car is a 2002 Toyota Camry with the 1MZ-FE V6 engine. Very smooth.

I wont be able to give you say an x-ray analysis to tell you about the level of proctection judging by metal particles.

When I first used it my fuel consumption dropped and the engine and gearbox seemed alot more fluent.

I service it every 7500km's, its due for one soon. Oil is medium brown at the moment, of course it was a lovely clear gold before.

Um I hope this is what you were after, if not just let me know what you want me to comment on and ill be happy to.

Overall, i love this oil. Would only trust Mobil 1 and Castrol.

Virgin vs. Used Oil Analysis

Some obsessive people (one which I seem to becoming) about oil actually have their oil of choice sample straight out of the bottle and then perform the test again with a used sample from your vehicle. It is often used by fleet companies to see if the oil is still in good shape able to extend the drain interval. For synthetics, some can safely last for 7500, 10000 or even 20000 miles (Mercedez) without changing the oil. However, the extended intervals are only one some specific type of oil

I would like to see what the wear results would be like for the Helix formulation as I haven't seen any yet.

The test typically run are as follows and costs about $20-30 to complete. It usually will tell you as well if it is safe to continue with oil or is it's time to change and makes recommendations as to how long the oil should be good for:
