too dirty for qew?

Is it possible for a vehicle to be too dirty for qew? Also, when you dry your vehicle after using qew, do your microfibers get dirty or is the dirt captured in the wash mitt?

hmmm, i think that anything is possible, and that a vechile covered totally covered with dirt (and i mean totally) would be a bit too dirty for QEW. however, i feel that QEW is strong enough to take care of a majority of dirty vechiles, and that if needed, use QEW x 2.

also, microfibers should not get dirty. the only reason they should get dirty would be becuase you either missed a spot, or maybe a light dust settling on the surface of a car. just remember to dry QEW before it dries on your car, or youre gonna have to do it all over again.

For me, it's what I feel comfortable doing. In the summer, I'll look at my car and if I feel that it looks too dirty for QEW, then I'll get out the hose (though on hot days, it is sometimes fun to play in the water ;) ). There's no real level of dirtiness that I can explain. I have had my towels get dirty a time or two, those were probably times when I had underestimated the dirtyness of the car. If you watch carefully as you wash with QEW, you can see the dirt encapsulated in the water drops left after you pass the mitt over the area. I suspect that is where the dirt comes from.

For winter, it'll be a stop at the quarter wash to blast off the salt.. A salt covered car is too dirty for just QEW, IMHO.

Perry,
I agree with you about winter washing with QEW, that the car needs to be rinsed first. just Two winter ago, just to see how well QEW work, I washed the car without rinse or any prep. QEW work, but the car was marred, I am not if this was from the towels, cotton mitts or the lack slickness of QEW. Now for winter washing, I just take car wash supplies with me to the coin-op.
