TOL Microfiber Buffing Pads

TOL is selling microfiber buffing pads by SURBUF and their product description is confusing me. First they say "the Microfiber Hair produces depth and brilliance of shine seldom found with hours of normal polishing" which of course picks my attention. Then at one page (for 6.5" pads) they say

Use on any painted surface, or on any metal, plastic, glass, wood, Fiberglass, Gelcoat or wood. Use with any polish, compound, wax, sealant, or liquid cleaner.

The velvety soft, furry Microfiber pad is a perfect fit for our Porter Cable orbital polisher or our Metabo rotary polisher. It easily replaces wool pads and doesn't leave the tale tail swirling! You can finally eliminate the worry of using wool on clearcoat.

but moments later, at page for same (I think) pads, but in 4", they say

We do not use them for final finishing on paint, but highly recommend the one-of-a-kind pads for for heavy oxidation and paint leveling. They easily replace wool pads.

Are these two descriptions contradicting? What are your thoughts? Do you have any input, experience with, or opinion on these? Also, any thoughts on how applicators from same material (found here Surbuf Products :: HHR Series) would work when compared against Ultimate German Applicator ProperAutoCare sells?

Please let me know.

Thank you in advance!

I have some of these on my desk... to call them "microfiber" in the sense that you and I would talk about microfiber on a detailing forum is... misleading at best.

These pads feel more like the teeth of a comb than any microfiber I've ever seen. And I think I can say with certainty that I've seen just about every single type of microfiber product that has ever been produced.

Well, TOL used term "microfiber" in name so I had to too. SURBUF uses term MicroFingers. But yes, I am aware they are not microfibers we talk about. What matters to me is will they work as advertised, which is The Microfiber Hair produces depth and brilliance of shine seldom found with hours of normal polishing.

Considering you have them on your desk I assume you either looked at them or tried them. What is your input / experience / opinion, do they / would they fulfill what they are promising? I am trying to achieve smoothest possible surface as I suspect that will result in shiniest / most reflecting surface.
