You sure do know a lot about boutique products for someone that rarely uses them.[/QUOTE]

Depends on your definition of boutique products I suppose. What I mean is products like Blackfire, Wolfgang/DP/Pinnacle, and the other super-small brands out there -- you'll rarely hear me talk about any such products, because I don't use them unless I get my hands on a sample or need something for a particular job.

It was at least a year ago. I stopped using the forum. There were some AG employees that posted a lot and on in particular (I don't remember his screenname) bashed anything not sold by AG and always recommended something else. I didn't mind the latter, but he said some dumb stuff about BF that made me think he never even tried it. The TID forum was amazingly nonbiased in contrast. I much preferred it.

Fair enough.

Not trying to give you a hard time, but I don't consider Chemical Guy's and Poorboy's, super-small brands. Megs/3M may be the largest, but there are some products that are better by some of those super-small brands.

I personally feel Autogeek is a very powerfull company who played the cards right. They have a great staff. Bringing Todd to the mix is a good thing for them! Todd Congrats on the new position by the way. The only one thing I really don't like about them is the name of there umbrella forum Autopiaforums. Business is Business and I understand that, but it just doesn't seem right. To each there own. Other then that, Every member of the autogeek staff that I have personally met are knowledgeable and friendly. Best of wishes to them all!

When I re participated on these fora, I was really surprised to see the two Autopia sites. Detail City was a fine name, and a distinct identity. I don't understand why it was renamed. I personally feel it was a case of not broken but still fixed. If the DC name is revived, the outcome would probably be quite positive.

As you can see I been a member since 2008, I was steered this way from a member on SF long time ago. When I tried to log on Autopia-Forums I didn't have an actual account on that website...but it looked just like Autopia of old... I never understood why www have two Autopia site and wish I knew the back story of why that happened.
