Today's Detail Vs. Black 02' GS300 (Pics) 56K Maybe..

it just had the "works". Everything power, memory seats and mirrors, leather, leather door sills, heated seats, manumatic, i cant remember if it had pedals on the steering wheel.. You get the idea. I was most impressed by the fact that the carpets were extremly plush compared to bmw and mercs.

There actually isn't a plush package, thats a mid model GS. The loaded model would have Nav/Mark Levinson stereo and HID headlights, rare on a 300.

I bet its single stage...

Not everyone lieks the carpets to have the uneven look. Sometimes its nice for them to look the way they came from the factory after a detail.

i think its a personal opinion. Corey just took the reply as, wow your lines are horrible and inaccurate type of thing, not o im not a fan of them. Sometimes its important how you word things on a forum bc you cant talk to that person directly. Thanx guys!

No, I mean...give me a break... the carpet is clean-- there's no need to comment on if there are lines or not. Personally if the customer really doesn't like them they can ask for it to be in all one direction. At least they know you paid attention to detail and didn't just fluff the carpet one way to make it look clean.

whoh. Nah buddy you did a great job, and i was just expressing my opinion on the subject Didnt say you did a bad job, but just dont like that carpet deal

Sweet detail, but we all know that :)...

As for the carpet lines, I'm on the fence. I don't mind it with alternating lines or just all one way. Both are better than just random patterns from haphazard vaccuming. As long as the customer knows it's clean, they should be happy. They just have to say they prefer it without the lines ... that's how I see it.

I liek the lines on the matts but not the carpet. But thats not the point, the deatil looks superb, that mirror shot is similar to scottwaxs' recently. BEEEEEE A utiful. lol.

personally i love them. The client was very happy with the way it came out too. I think it depends on the person. I always ask if they prefer the factory look or the carpet lines. Like scott said, some do some dont. Thanx for all the compliments.

I would say that the majority of folks out there equate patterned carpets and mats with clean / detailed. For some reason that has become the folklore with detailing. :nixweiss

I'm with Scott on this in that it is all a matter of taste. I too have some clients that love the pattern yet others that do not.

I think the carpet lines make people believe the car has been detailed extraordinarily well bc they dont see that at a wash and wax generally. They see their money as well spent.

The detail looks great and the detailer did a fine job. But give you a break? You need to give us abreak there bud the comment was someones opinion..which is all these forums are about when showing off details. If you don't like the fact a member stated he didn't like the lines deal with it so far your comments you seem to have an attitude for no reason. Remember this is what these forums are about relax.
