A semi-annual client of mine, this one got away from me for too long (pushing a year). NBP is hard enough to keep pristine, and this one lives in the middle of Hollywood, literally feet from the Walk of fame on Hollywood Blvd. It was really in worse shape then I had anticipated, so out with the NRWS, 1 Gal spritzer, clay, UDM, Optimum Compound w/ orange CCS 5.5, Optimum Polish w/orange 5.5 CCS, and a mix of UPP and Wet Glaze. (This was really my first full detail using CCS pads.
Wheels cleaned with Optimum Wheel Cleaner, Power Brush, and Whiteknight Powerstick, dressed with Surf City Tire Black.
A word on the CCS Low Profile 5.5" pads. Not my cup of tea. Not only did I find the Low Profile CCS collapsed to an uncomfortable profile, I didnt find the CCS contributed to any significant value. And Im not sure I fully understand, how polishes break down when opportunity presents additional abrasives? I mean how does an abrasive fully diminish when theres more abrasives hiding? I could be way off base, but just some thoughts occurring while detailing this last vehicle.
Not the best camera work today..............I realy liked my 2 Meg Fuji better then this 6 Meg Oly.
