To Zaino or not to Zaino?

I have been hearing great things about the Zaino products but not on this board, is Zaino the best thing for that show car look or am I being swayed by the name brand? What are the pros take on this line of products?

Go do a search for zaino.. it'll take you probably a month to sift through everything that has been said about it. Also:

A majority of members here tend not to stick to one brand/product or another, and are more interested in experimentation than having a single solve-all formula. One person can get just as good results as another person did using completely different products, and it all comes down to preference, and the desire to get that last 0.1% bit of improvement.

As a newbie I know I may seem as I did not do my research on Zaino but that is the reason I asked this direct question between Autopia, clublexus, and various other websites my head is spinning with so much info. What it basically boils down to is should a novice detailer fool around with this stuff?

BTW: Thanks raymond_ho2002 for the quick response

Zaino is geared towards all types of users. Although the website application process may seem a little intimidating, the application is quite easy. The prices are very economical, compared to other top brands, considering you may only use 1-2 oz of product on your car per "layer".

I was in your position this time last year. After doing my research and evlauating a few products, I chose Zaino.

If you have any questions, contact customer service at Zaino.

One of the better methodologies for Zanio is by Db, it can be found at BetterCarCare,

Agreed. After MUCH research this time last year, I settled on Zaino as the polish of choice. It is incredibly easy to use, smells better than anything else in the world (really!), and IS economical- the thinner you put it on, the better. It also really layers well which is more than can be said for most detailing products.

That said, it will reveal any scratches, marring or swirls left underneath it's pristine shine. Using Zaino leaves you completely at the mercy of your prep. level. Get rid of those swirls, etc. first, and I can't imagine a better product to work with.

Don't even bother with Z5 for swirl removal- try something more aggressive (depending on your needs, of course) like 3M's SMR, or even DACP.

Z leaves a brilliant shine, but it does lack the depth and warmth of a carnauba shine. Despite what Sal Zaino says, it CAN be topped with a pure carnauba (Meg's #16/26, S100, etc) and looks OUT OF THIS WORLD.

That is from my own newb experience- hope it helps!

It's a great product, and it's not too hard to use. Don't be afraid to try other things though. You need to find what you like, not what other people like.

Make sure you prep your surface very well, no matter what you end up using. Do it right the first time...you'll be glad.

Nice product.. I am not found of hte slickness compared to other products out there. Look for the wolfgang review to get some more info...

A good product group. If it sounds like your kind of product - buy some. There must be a huge amount of resources to assist you on this forum
