tire dressing

With so many tire dressings out there I was wondering if you could give me a suggestion on which are the best.
Thanks

There is probably no such thing as "the best"
Everyone has there own idea what looks best and products seem to work better on some manufacture's tires than others.
I have used most of the Meguiar products and even Armor-all tire foam.
My favorite so far is Poorboys Bold and Bright.
It is water based.
My prefered method of application is to use an Eagle One tire swipe ... Spray the B&B on it and wipe it on the tire somtimes even witha scrubbing motion.
I do not get the browning with this product and if I accidently apply it to heavy and get a little sling, it does not stain the paint.
Just my opinion ... I am sure there are many others.

I've been using Turle Wax Tire Wax. Leaves (in my opinion) a vey nice matt black and last for about two weeks with weekly washings.

As Kimwallace said, there isn't a "Best" tire dressing, just the one you think looks the best. One thing I discovered is the way a given tire dressing will look on diff tires. i.e. . . .B&B on Michelins and Bridgestones:

On my Acura with Michelin tires I get a nice bright shine which is my prefered look (not the ooey-gooey wet tar look mind you). However the look is entirely different when the same tire dressing is used on my wife's Malibu with Bridgestones. Here the look is duller, giving more of a shean than a shine.

I've also used 3M Rubber Treatment on the tires with similar results.

Currently I'm using EO on the Malibu to give more of a shine that I like.

Hope this helps.

Currently I like Poorboy's B&B & I'm also using Hi-Temp's Grape tire dressing, both are excellent IMHO.

I have decided for my use that I will stick with 303 Protectant. I have two different Meguiar's products and one EagleOne. To me they are all too gooey and throw off making a mess all over my wax job.

I have been using Poorboys Bold N Bright for a few weeks now and I'm getting NO SLING at all. I love this stuff. I plan to place another Poorboys order in the next couple days to stock up.

I had never used a Tire Shine that wont sling, until I started using Poorboys Bold N Bright.

Bold and Bright. I use small 9 cent sponges (one side is a rough scrub that kind of stiffens it) and I throw them away after one or two uses.

I have been using PB B&B exclusively.

NY: I have the Hi Temp Grape but haven't used it yet.
How is it compared to B&B?

BnB hasn't won a place in my arsenal yet. I haven't given up on it yet, but I've used it once and I got sling plus I wasn't impressed by the finish it left. My favorite so far is Zaino's Z-16. Great stuff IMO.

303, Vinylex, Meguiars Natural Shine Vinyl & Rubber Protectant. As mentioned before, I use them interchangably to get the look I want on different brands.
I personally find Vinylex and 303 to be very similar performing.

I've used AA, TW 2001, and most recently BnB.
The best one is the one that gives you the results that you want

I have no idea which is "the best" but I"ve tried a bunch of them and Poorboys Bold n Bright is my daily choice.

For years I was lazy and used an aerosol spray on type of dressing, Stoners MSLT, but it never looked really good, just better than the other aerosols, but never "really good.

I finally gave in and started wiping on the tire dressing. I had to get over being tooooooo lazy to wipe it on in order to get the look I want but now that I wipe the dressing on with Viking foam applicator, the one with the handle, I'm very happy with the BnB. NOW it looks "REALLY GOOD"!!

I am currently using BNB. 1Z TP is my other top choice although it just protects...it actually has the best finish but it doesn't clean any.

PB NL is good also. It doesn't have the durability of BNB, but the look is great.

The nice thing is that I have not experienced any sling with these three.

Wiping off the excess with a towel after 10 minutes will help to reduce/prevent sling with any product.

1) NXT has great durability, way too shiny for me.
2) AA is cheap, water based and pretty good durability.
3) My fav. right now is Meg's #40. Bought a gallon a while back and just started using it on tires, seems to last pretty good.

Teflon Tire shine. Just recently started using it. if you want to see what I thought about it, do a search for the review. It's very good stuff for the price. I like it a lot.

I've used both types of Hi Temp dressings, 303, both types of Eimann Fabrik, and MSLT. The dressing that I consider to be my favorite is Detail Plus Lustre All. It's water based and it works wonders on wheel wells and tires. I always give it two applications and never wipe it off, other than the overspray on the wheels, which protects them from future brake dust, etc. At $15 per gallon, I think it's a steal and it has very good longevity. I've tried it on interiors and found that I don't like the look, but for tires, it looks fantastic.

I'm fairly partial to AutoMagic #65 Super Dress it.

Decent Per Gallon Price.

Water Based. - Can be diluted too!

Shine depends upon how you apply it.

Generally I dilute it 4:1 and spray it on for a higher gloss look. I'll take it down to 4:3 and spray it on for a more Matte look.

Zero to extremely minimal sling, and incredibly easy to use. I'd swear that a drunken monkey could use it without problems. :D

My only complaint about it------> I'm out. :(

Right now, I only have Bold N Bright in my arsenal. However, I have used Lexol's Vinylex and 303 on them before with very good success. I hear the Zaino stuff is great too. I like a matte, natural finish to my tires. Bold N Bright does make them look "blacker" than the other ones I've used and I'm finding I like it better.

I just can't bring myself to the glossy wet look on my tires. I save the wet look for my paint. :)
