Tire dressing

Zaino, 303, or Eagle One Coucours. When the concours runs out I will try the new protectant that replaced the concours in the Eagle One lineup.

I saw a car in the parking lot at the grocery store and the tires were EXTREMELY shiny! It was practically a mirror! In fact, the tires were much shinier than the rest of the car, and I wouldn't have noticed it had I not seen the glare from the sun reflecting off the tires. It was pretty "ghetto" (to borrow a current slang lexeme) looking, as you might imagine.

Turtle Wax Forumula 2001 Tire Gel (with Trilicone!) on my silver Zaino'd car. Alas, they are discontinuing it. Perhaps I'll try Black Opal next.

303 & Z-18 on my Klasse'd black cars.

I like black with a medium amount of sheen. The product that does this for me is Vinylex.

It all depends on the car I guess. I really like shiny tires for light colored cars, a medium sheen for neutral cars (blue, green, red), and a matte look for the black and dark green cars.

I have like 5 or 6 types of tires dressings with TW 2001 coming soon.......

the discontinued Meguires Gel. Hmm, everything I like is discontinued. Black Opal is a greasy mess, suprising coming from a great company like EF. (Well, I guess they gotta have one mediocre product) BO is like all the other "consumer" items found in Walmart or Pepboys, it's oily, greasy, slings off and gives that temporary "Ghetto Shine". (Not ghetto in a good way!!) It's expensive and does not last long at all, if I do use it, it's only to supplement a base coat of my other products.

Personally I like the Stone MSLT. For some reason I really like the spray. I have a cutout I made out of cardboard with some finger holes for the center of the wheel. I just follow up with a sponge or tire swipe pad. I don't have probs with spray on the vehicle.

None of the cars in the ghettos I've seen ever shined. People talk about ghetto shine. I have never seen this.

Pinnacle Vinyl & Rubber Protectant is my current choice. Perfect balance of gloss and protection for me.

Vinylex is nice too as is Eagle One Concours. I'll try 303 some day..........

Ok, so the "Ghetto Shine" doesn't actually refer to the shine seen at any depressed socialeconomic areas. I believe the term "ghetto" is used to describe those flashy cars that have hyrdolics, huge solid chrome rims, funky neon lights bordering the liscense plate frame and side of the car, and generally all those head turning cars with a big ranch but no cattle (eg. the cars with mirror-shiny tires). I've heard other terms instead of "ghetto," but they might be a little more offensive.

I prefer a medium amount of sheen for white cars, a matte finish on colors like including light blue, silver, or grey, and just black w/ no shine on bolder colors like black or red.

Medium sheen:

-Z-16

-Vinylex

-Eagle One Protectant

Matte finish:

-303 Aerospace

-Z-16 on a "wet" tire

Black w/ no sheen:

-Forever Black (or something like that)

-Black Magic Semi-Gloss Dashboard protectant

I know the term you are thinking of Chuckmotor, but i really dont think its meant to be derogatory, because i see people of that ethnicity using the term.

<strong class='bbc'>Hehe, I like both the ghetto shine (TW 2001) & and the yuppy shine (303, Z-18). [/b]</blockquote>

Oops, yes!

I was using Stoner's MSLT....until I bought another Black car. It is impossible to apply this product without some tiny droplets getting on the paint and windows. Although I like the way the product looks on tires, I don't like the way it looks on a Zainoed finish and clean glass !

it depends on my mood....somedays i feel mattey....so i go with 303...but you could leave the 303 on for about 15 mins and then buff...then it gets shiny....but doesnt last long(because your suppoosed to rake it off sooner)....or i feel a little more shiny....so i go shiny 303 or meguiars hi endirance gel.....and buff alot off....or more shiny if i leave it on longer and vuff off less.....or real shiny...then i go meguiars endurance high gloss...leave it on for 30 mins and buff off...now that stuff will blind ya....this would be the ghetto typoe shine as us peeps in the bronbx would say.....kinda too shiny...after usually 1-2 days a that i hate ot and take it off and go back to the aforementioned less shiny somewhat matte but still glossy 303 or meguiars.....ok...:) :p
