Tire Dressing

I'm using CG Silk & Shine which is a thick liquid but can be sprayed. It looks great, I'll try to get a pic.

I've been using gel solely, but am placing an order for PERL and just realized it is sprayed. I haven't used a spray since my teenage days and am worried about the over spray (since dressing the tires is usually one of if not the last thing I do). Can anyone with experience with PERL chime in for me here, and supply some insight. If not may have to try making my own thread which will get my post count up right trouble??

Gel with a carrand tire applicator brush.

1. opti bond tire gel
2. DP tire gel

I just got some car rand applicators and totally forgot to use them on the two cars I did today. Not sure if they are the same as yours the one with a plastic top?

Gel, 100%! I find it to not only look better once it is on the tire, but last longer too. I suppose if I had to use a spray I would make sure to spray the applicator or tire swipe first, then the tire, that way there is no overspray on the tire or paint. I also find that sprays tend to sling more so than gel, so that is a major contributing factor. But, like I said, GEL - 100%!

I've been applying PERL with a foam apicator for almost a year. I dilute PERL 1:1 and use it for wheel wells with a sprayer.

Regardless of what I use (gel, spray) I like to apply it to the applicator and wipe on...

So spray people... are you spraying it directly onto the tire?

I almost always apply to an applicator whether it is a liquid or spray. I tend to like gel over spray.

35 & 30 profile tires are more narrow than a typical spray pattern just a few inches away. It's doubtful you'll hurt the anything, but with tires being so tucked-in these days, the overspray is on the fender as well as the wheel! Not worth it.

I base my dressing decision on where the client lives and what kind of roads the car sees. This is a fairly rural area where dusty roads are common. If the car looked like it sees a lot of gravel roads then no dressing at all. If it looked like it sees some lightly dusty areas but nothing major, then I do a water based dressing like Hyper Dressing. If it never sees anything other than city or highway roads, then Blackfire gel is my go to.

Both!
for my maintenance/frequent customers I just use Megs HD 1:1 spray.
For customers that purchase higher end packages I use PERL Undiluted
