Tire Dressing With Color

All About The Bling Bling
I remember about 5 or 6 years back someone had made a OTC tire dressing with i guess it was flake in it. You could get it in red, blue and i think green. Does anyone know what i'm talking about? I went and looked at autozone today but didn't see any. I want to use it on my truck.

If anyone has a link to where i can buy something like it, please post it.

I know what your talking about, they sell it at canadian tire in canada. I have tried it before and never again. The sling off that stuff is nuts. It looks good but its pure oil. Not on my top list

I know what you are talking about, but cannot think of the brand either. Now you have me scrambling to figure it out.

EDIT.....IT WAS TIRE TINT BY BLACK MAGIC.....I think

Yep that was it, i'll google it now and try to find some.

I wonder how they make it. It would be nice to make your own out of regular dressing. Guess i'll buy some metal flake from the paint shop and do some experimenting.

The silver model was pretty cool.

They also made "Car-Tint" too which was a QD spray with flake in it,!

I only can wonder about the chemical makeup.

I looked on ebay for some and found this.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Blac...33746QQitemZ8070233207QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW

30 bottle of the silver tire tint, bids at $30. Not bad considering they sold for 7-8 bucks a bottle.

I googled for tire tint and came across a thread on another forum. Seems like black magic is no longer selling it. Whats out there is whats left.

Hey CalgaryDetail, Next time you go there, Look and see if they have any of it in red. If they do pick up 3 bottles if they have it and i'll paypal you the money for it.

I'm bumping this up because i've been on the hunt for some.

I know its a long shot since it hasn't been made in years. But if anyone has any of the black magic tire tint in red or knows someone who has it. I'm intrested in working something out for it.

I'm trying this first, if i can't find any i'm going to experiment with some red craft flake in some dressing i have now. Just thought i give it a try. And if anyone has done this before and has any tips fill me in.

thanks.

I go to Canadian Tire quite often so I'll have a look for you in the Victoria, B.C. area the next time I swing by. One of the guys in the automotive department explained the stores are a bit autonomous in their ordering methods so some stores may have a certain product, others may not. I may get lucky,

CT does not carry this item. I am sure. I have looked through the list of every car care product that can be ordered.

I checked out the local Canadian Tire sites (2) with no luck, but a few minutes ago I saw this on ebay and here's the link.
It sounds like the very product you were asking about:

eBay Motors: Colorful Sparkling Tire Gel (item 270100860903 end time Mar-20-07 11:44:21 PDT)

Yeah i emailed that guy. The way he has the auction set up makes it not worth it to me. Plus the color i really want he don't have.

The way he has it set up is your bidding on a per bottle price for the lot of 37 that he has. At least this is how he explained it to me. So if it gets up to 4,5 or 6 bucks which i see happening. You'll be paying hundreds of dollars for the stuff.

I can do alot of experimenting with glitter and tire dressing for that much.

Thanks for looking out though.

Well, if it is seen here, how much are you willing to spend? Chances are it'll be at least $10, likely closer to $20 to ship it to Florida from Canada.

I bought it on accident years and years ago. I ended up spraying it on my tires of an old Dodge Shadow I had back in college. I immediately went to the quarter car wash and pressure washed it off. It was the most ghetto crap I have ever seen for a car minus the Bubb Rubb WOO WOO!

I'm willing to spend whatever it takes. Its the red stuff i really want. If you find some grab me what they have. I'll hook you up as well if you can find it.

Everyone has different tastes. I think it looks good if you use the right color to match your vehicle.
