Time to hibernate those chemicals

Depending on where you are, it's almost time to move those chemicals/waxes/etc indoors if you keep them in a garage. Just a friendly reminder.

I keep all mine in the basement all year.

Whats a safe temp range? I keep mine outdoors year round (except my wax's) its gets as high as 100 and and low as 25, everything seems to work well still maybe the little storage cabinet keeps it warm/cool enough.

i put my products in snap lid storage containers stored in the garage with no problems...

 why? if there is no heat source insulation is pointless.

If the temperature stayed the same maybe, however since it gets warmer in the day, it would help retain heat. Same principle as covering plants to prevent frost.

I lkeep some waxes in the fridge in the fruit bin.My wife doesn't cook so she never opens the fridge.I am waiting for her to die and then I can move the rest of products to the fridge in the master bedroom so they are close to me.

:har: Too funny.

Hey, pretty funny. I just cleared out my garage and most ended up in the basement. Now, I'll get to move more down there. :)

Speaking of Fairbanks.............what's the weather going to like up there in a couple of weeks?? My alma mater plays at the U of AK/Fairbanks tournament?

Any speed tips for the trip??? Cool things to do in October for a couple of days??

It is pretty hard to get there from here, even on a good day!!

Thx for the info....................BTW, I might as well pull the stuff inside myself. Temp. is mid-40'sF now. That's ridiculous...........summer ended a week ago. Seems the bottom dropped out here! Ugh.

See ya. :wavey

whats too cold for waxes/etc and also what will happen if they do stay out in the cold

Anything below freezing and you run the risk of them separating and becoming useless. Meguiars products have been particularly sensitive for me.

If insulation was pointless, no house would have it.

It still retains outside heat longer than the air does, and vice-versa with staying cooler than outside air.

That few degrees could mean all the difference. And since they are in a somewhat insulated shed, I should be just fine. Temps rarely get below freezing, and I doubt temps inside the shed get below 40. I'll set up a couple of thermometers for the first time it gets really cold.

It's the opposite where I live in the desert! The summers get over 113 outside, so imagine what it is like in the garage!
