What does everyone think of the Final Inspection?

FI is a great detail spray, it leaves the surface very clean and smooth. It doesn't do much for gloss or depth, but it wasn't designed to. I use it as a clay lubricant and between polishing stages to ensure a completely clean surface.

It is a great clay lube and works very well at removing polish residue. It does not add anything as far a gloss to the finish and does not work very well as a "between washes" detail spray. It is a good product and one I continue to use.

Very nice product and smells yummy.

Best for use as a clay lubricant but as gloss enhancing, slickening quick detailer, it's not very good
Far prefer #66, Eimann Fabrik clear pearl & Wolfgang instant detail spritz
Can't wait to try Menz Acrylic shield though, another brilliant product from them I bet

Yep............ Good QD.

Body shop safe (no silicones)
Good clay lubricant.
Nice light cleaning ability
Streak free
The light cleaning & streak free application/removal make it a good window cleaner.

Just does't quite have the POP of other QD's.

How's compare with the PB S&G?

Well, I would say............

S & G is probably not Body Shop safe. (could be wrong though)
S & G has considerably more "POP" (more gloss)

All other traits are probably similar.

I used to use this before i got Adams. It did a good job of leaving a clean surface and as people have said didnt do a ton for gloss but thats not what its mad to do.

Well, I'm pretty sure that Last Touch has some silicones in it........... it would probably not be Body Shop safe. I think that Adam's QD has some silicones in it (could be wrong though). Quik Shine doesn't have any silicones, so it might be Body Shop safe.

Keep in mind that they are all "safe", but the ones with silicones shouldn't be used in a body shop, as silicones tend to "migrate" even when not in use.

If you're not going to get your vehicle painted in the next month or so, it really doesn't matter. :D

Exactly

Being body shop safe is not the big deal it was years ago , a good shop that prep's properly will never have a problem. My son paint's high end cars that are alway's well detailed and cared for .......never has problem's from what type of QD or polish/wax that was used before after prep & paint.

My friend owns an auto body shop and he too say's the same thing .

If you have ever had body work done or paint work has any of them ever asked what type of wax or qd is on the car and how often it's used ??

I think the only time you might run into this problem is if you take it to the prime & paint place's , like a Maaco or Earl Scheib where they repaint your whole car for like 499.00. Obviously there is little to no prep work done on the car or any precaution's taken.

I was surprised to see Amazon's offering Meguiar's #34 Final Inspection: 1 Gallon Refill at $15.67 only..what a bargain. Do take note it's shipping from sparkleauto and not Amazon's warehouse ;) .Do a search for Meguiar's Final inspection under 'tools and hardware'

OT: Does it matter what qd/sealant is being used just "after" a repaint?

That would be a great price if the shipping was right. I paid $20.00 for a gallon from a local wholesaler. I also purchased a gallon of #83 for $25.00. I dont know how he makes any money off of this stuff, but he msut still be doing ok. He is at the auctiones every week selling alot of good items.
