Thoughts and Prayers for the victims and Families in Orlando

Very sad. My thoughts are with family, friends, victims, and Orlando residents. Orlando Fire, EMS, dispatch and Police also had to go through hell. The scariest part is most of the time there is nothing you can really do to prevent some of these attacks. The terrorist, mentally ill, criminals, they have the time to plan out their attacks on "soft" targets. Schools, churches, sporting events, public gatherings, and night clubs will always be filled with defenseless men, women, and children.

Just always have a plan, be prepared, and be vigilant. If something doesn`t feel right, go with your instinct, call local LE.

I can`t help parallel this to another situation that happened up here in my PA 3 days ago:

DA: Killing of robber at Levittown pharmacy a `public service` | 6abc.com

Dude went to rob an independent pharmacy and the pharmacist blew him away.

Killed him to death.

Up here in PA we don`t play - the police are calling this a public service and the RPh wasn`t charged.

...too bad someone wasn`t in that Orlando club who could provide the same public service before so many lives were lost.

What happened in Orlando is terrible.

A terrorist with a gun? Who`d a thought? We can`t even properly vet them when they` ve been questioned by the FBI, not only once but twice.

Until our leaders acknowledge this is war, that these terrorists are Islamic Extremists that represent their perverted version of Islam and that this enemy will be well armed, on our soil or elsewhere, we can`t begin to stop them. Our leaders can`t bring themselves to say it, let alone think it.

Instead, the 2nd Amendment will once again take a beating as if to say we`re doing something about this and it will prevent this type of behavior. This mentality starts at the top and flows down hill. Folks we put these people at the top, not only once but twice and more (think term limits).

My prayers too go out for the those who have perished and their loved ones. My prayers are also offered on behalf of this great nation that has seemingly lost its footing. God help us to be worthy of the blessing to regain that step.

Actually it was three times. I don`t agree with the life style but this is a true crime against humanity. It could not be more wrong. Even though they claimed the crime I wonder if this was really ISIS or if they are just claiming it to stir it up some more? I cannot fathom the overall horror of this unspeakable tragedy.

Its actually kinda disgusting that this tragedy is going to be made into a gun issue.

I probably said it poorly but my point is simple. If the FBI can`t keep this guy off of the street after multiple face to face conversations, what type of background check does the President think will "tighten up" (I think those were his words) security on a gun purchase?

Expounding on this. LEO`s who have been on the forefront of animosity from msm, administration and some public opinion was the true heroes of the day. Did anyone notice the guys loading a victim into the back of a pick up truck a cop doing cpr in the back and go to the hospital? There was no thought about who this person was, what their lifestyle was, whether they agreed with them or not..... Just that someone needed their help now!
The men and women in blue deserve our admiration and thanks.... Did you see the pic of the helmet with a bullet hole in it? Think of the psychological impact of seeing 50 blood bodies in front of you, as you have to step over them, on them to go after someone who has their weapon trained on you.... The impact of this will take a while to surface.... Or how the other responders (police, fire, ems) who were held back until the scene was secure... Or as was said above, the dispatchers who were on the other side of the radios and phones.......

Please remember these people in your thoughts and prayers as well. They will need them.

As I said before. "Never let a crisis go to waste" (thank you Rahm Emanuel)

Imagining that kind of a scene sounds like something out if the movies. Terrible event.
