Those who use Buff & Shine pads, did you KNOW this????

It would be nice if the industry would adopt standard colors across different brands to identify the aggressiveness of foam polishing pads. Barring that happening you have some choices, as you buy new pads label both the bag and the velcro with the pad aggressiveness ID. Next the more experience you get you can pretty much tell by squeezing a pad how aggressive or soft it is.

I do not think the pad manufacturers want since they want the ability to do custom colors etc without having a standards committee involved to dictate or restrict actions.

Even Lake Country's application guide had been out of date (missing pads) for years and it still does not mention both greens.

My guess is B&S does not think their web site is a key information portal to consumers. They do not seem to have the same business model as Lake Country.

Now, you would think someone like Chemical Guys would have a web site that looked a bit better (formatting, organization, spelling).

I forget what brand pads they were but a set came with my PC that had the diagram right on the back of each and every pad printed in the velcro. That was convenient!

It can be pretty confusing to discern between pads, funny thing is foam distributors arent a huge number on the market. Focus on the pores per inch & foam type (closed vs open) and you'll have your answer. Best way is to really observe the product working & how well the foam pads are working.

Or just use MF pads.:lmfao
