This week's fun racer to smother in vinyl

V_Eight

I wish I detailed good
Wrapped the hood, roof, and decklid in matte black. Also added the windshield banner and spoiler lettering and replaced the numbers. Removed all the "orton" logos as they failed. I tried to get the customer to do the entire car in matte black, but to no avail.

Started as:

Then to white-background numbers with a thicker font:

That looks cool, can you come do my house?

I've been asked before, but the customer didn't want to pay for a plane ticket and hotel. :nixweiss

looks awesome. Let me know if you ever come to michigan or could recommend someone up here!

996 looks like a fun day at the track, but i too would have preferred a full wrap

what is average cost on that. panels and hood. Looks great BTW!

Just the matte black shown ran about $500 installed. Full wraps run ~$2k for solid colors with the best wrapping vinyl available.

Edit: The decklid was VERY difficult on this car because of curvature and the type of vinyl I used. It alone took me five hours ($250 right there).

Looks great Andrew.

Does the flat black vinyl waterspot? And if so, how do you clean it?

Thank you David.

Yes, it does, horribly. When we're done, we'll spray it down with soapy water (application fluid) and wipe it off, leaving a spot-free finish.
