This marketing idea brought me lots of business. Lots!!!!

It is nice but how are you getting people to view it?

I think that's why he posted it here, to bolster his SEO.

Not sure how he is tracking the effectiveness of an individual promo video that has only been uploaded for three weeks and saying it has brought him lots of business though....

Charles with the common sense....................again, why put stuff like this out there at a place where guys pay special attention to the "Small stuff".

so just with waxing you bring back the shine huh? why the heck am I bothering to polish cars these days anymore? LOL

Why do you only post stuff to promote your company here??? I think google and everywhere else would be better return on your time investment, not a detailing enthusiast forum where everyone on here can see what you are trying to do.

You guys are amazing. I posted it on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, YouTube, I have an email database of 25,000 people. I get NOTHING from posting it in here but your opinions. And yes, I have gotten LOTS of business from this ad, since I ran this ad, almost 3 months ago. I have booked over 150 wash-n-waxes. Just trying to think outside the box and share my ideas. But it always seems like the people in this forum LOVE to provide the most nonconstructive, unproductive, ridiculing feedback. I don't understand. But, I will still keep moving forward. Thanks for the feedback or rather lack thereof.

You all have a great day and God Bless!

SEO??? From a NO-Follow detailing forum? I was just sharing an idea. I don't need to track it on here. I have 25,000 email address in my database, 2500 facebook fans, 500 twitter followers. I don't get any juice from posting anything in here. But was just looking for opinions on the vid itself. Lots of business indeed. 150+ booking in 3 months off of this one ad and have more. My hope was to share this, get opinions and hopefully spark ideas that we could all share with one another. But I guess that didn't work. Lol Oh well!

25,00 people in my email database. 14K is less than I was expecting. Not to mention my websites get 4000 hits per month. So we are on the same page... Only 14k... I was thinking I would get a lot more.

I still want to know how 14k views happened. How about some constructive comments from the OP?

Common sense would tell you this is mainly a No-Follow forum so posting it here does nothing for my SEO and being that it is embedded into the post the views aren't even tracked. So looks like you missed a spot. Lol

Come on man... I posted it for feedback, not bitter attacks on why its in here. No harm no foul!

One of the best pieces of info this forum ever gave me was "if it works for you, then don't change it."

Don't sweat it man. Some guys on here think high volume is a dirty word and like to take shots at guys trying to run a volume shop which is funny considering some of the superstars on this site own or have owned high volume shops, and 3D has made a business out of selling bulk chemicals including chemicals for tunnel washes.

I like the video and think your obviously doing something right to have 14k views. Keep it up and thanks for sharing.

Had you included that additional information (or some verbiage of any kind to that effect) with your original post, I'm willing to bet it would have received a completely different response... With only limited information to go on, it's difficult to spark a conversation of any real substance.

I always love when people cling to the high volume vs. boutique rivalry thing... I think pretty much everyone here would agree that high volume *when done right* is hardly a bad thing. The problem is that a vast majority of high volume operations aren't doing it right/are hacks and that gives the industry as a whole a bad name. Show me a high volume operation that isn't hacking up cars (and I know they do exist few and far between) and I have nothing but respect for it.

Looking back I can see how you thought I was knocking boutique shops. Truthfully I wasn't knocking boutique or hyping volume...I could care less how other people on an internet forum choose to run their business. Just trying to encourage the guy and show some appreciation for sharing a marketing idea that works for him...the fact that he made it himself is amazing too. We are all here to learn and share ideas.

I liked the video man, is it spendy to make something like that, 44 seconds is right at my attention span limit ha. It looks professional, were you able to do that with just a camera and video editing software?
