Well it was not weather today that caused me to get back on the City. It seems the dozer is not liking the weather any more thatn the rest of us and is being tempermental. Had the master mechanic and his minions jsut scurrying around trying to get one dozer working. Of course all of the teamsters got sent home. Oh well:wall :mad: :(

Unfortunately Joe that particular perk was bargain away years ago. I think that we( union) wanted payments toward retirement more than perks like that. IIRC it was about 1987 or 88 that we bargined ourselves out of that nice little clause.

Oh well, they could have called and said to not come back. That would have been devistating.

Thanks for the thought, Norah!!! I am of the same verb as you. It is always tough starting the new season up here. Although this has been more difficult than most this year.

Over the years i have come to realize your employer isnt give you a $1.00 or $2.00 more an hour without getting back something on the other end. Lost vacation time,Non Paid Holidays or paying more into your health care.Now that im getting older i would be willing to forgo a raise or Two inorder to have the Health Care i had even 5 years ago.I can't complain, without the Union we wouldn't make the money we do,i know you probably realized this many years ago..

Good morning y'all..I hope you guys have a better day than me. I had to stand in heavy rain with an umbrella this afternoon supervising an event....just glad I'm still here and not struck by lightning :X
 
Poor Chee :( You should have just gotten out the laundry soap & not bothered with the umbrella :stick Glad that you didn't get fried!!! :)
 
We had a heck of a thunder storm this morning. It was like the lightning was right in my yard. Thunder shook the walls. Loved it....slept like a baby.
