whats everyone having for lunch today?

Leftover pizza from dominoes.

I can't beleive the colts lost yesterday. I don't think tony dungy has ever made it to the big game. Even with 2 great teams, they always choke. such a shame. I'm rooting for the steelers now that my pats are out of it.

I'm stranded at the house today. UPS and Fed Ex have the day off, so I have nothing coming in or going out. My car is at the shop getting some front end work done. I have the wife's MG, but with a 40% chance of thunder storms, I'm not taking it anywhere.

For a snack Im eating a sandwhich from a deli in my town, yum yum!

Zaino is looking pretty good too me right now, still not the depth I desire but it does have some really nice reflections!

Day one of a full system conversion launch is almost over. I've been here since 5:00 am this morning and it is 4:00 now. Only 4 more hours to go and it will be the end of the day... No lunch for me. No breakfast for that matter. Dinner will likely have to be fed to me through an IV because I am dog tired.

Whew..... 9:22 PM and the day is finally over. Now to go home for a few hours sleep to be back here at 6:00 AM tomorrow to do it all over again. Thursday cannot come fast enough....

Hang in there you can do it..

At least the sun is out today. I get to wash the MG after driving it on wet muddy roads to get my orders out. My regular car won't be completed until this morning. So, I get one more day of driving around in a car way too small for me.

Wow, she's a beauty, Scott!! What year??
And I'm sure that your shipping assistant has a little trouble fitting inside, too - or do you only transport him with the top down?
Bet you love doing those wheels :D

Nice car!

The Little Detailer saw those wheels and said, "Daddy you will have to do those wheels'. Well I know what not to get.

The car is a 1970 MGB. My wife and her father restored 10 or more years ago. The picture above was taken at a car show in 2001. It rained a lot that day and it stopped raining a little bit before judging. The helped a bit too.

The wheels are chrome wire spokes. Yes, they do suck to polish and clean. SInce it's her car, I do make the wife do at least two of them. I'm going to give the PC with a small tufted foam pad or possibly a wool pad a try when I do them this year. They really do set teh car apart at shows and cruise nights. They upgraded the top to a fabric one instead of teh factory vinyl. It looks much nicer IMHO.

The paint job looks pretty good and we get compliments all the time. She loves the car. My knee cramps up just trying to drive it. I just stick to maintaining and riding. The little assistant doesn't ride in it.

It rode in the back of the moving truck on the way down here. Unfortunately, the movers didn't tie it dwn, so it bounced up and down a bit. As it bounced, it hit the decking used to load items above the car. After watching them unload the truck for 10+ hours in the rain, we got that surprise.

We haven't gotten an estimate done yet, but it should need a new fender ($600) and bonnet ($800). Plus, the paint will probably be tough to match. I have a can of the original paint applied, but with the paint being 10+ years old, who knows?

I would love to upgrade it to an overdrive transmission and do some further restoration on it. Maybe this will be a good excuse.
