COME AT ME BRO
I need some advice on what could be a life changing decision....

I've suspected for some time now that my girlfriend has been having an affair. The usual signs: Phone rings, I answer, caller hangs up. She started going out 'with the girls' a lot recently although when I ask which girls, it is always "Just some friends from work, you don't know them." I always look out for her taxi coming home, but she always comes walking up the driveway as I hear a car setting off...as if she had exited the car 'round the corner. Why? Is it not a taxi? I once picked her mobile up just to see what time it was and she went berserk and screamed that I should never touch her phone again and why was I checking up on her?

Anyway, I have never approached the subject with my g/f. I think deep down I just didn't want to know the truth but last night she went out again and I decided to check on her. I decided I was going to hide behind my car which would give me a view of the whole street so I could see which car she gets out of. It was whilst crouched behind my car that I noticed rust around my rear wheel arch.

Should I take it into a body repair shop or should I buy some stuff from the local auto shop and try to repair it myself?

I have to start with saying you made my day with this story. I was waiting for the out come of what she was doing and then you dropped the bomb about the rust. On that I would take your car to a auto body shop for them to have a look, the out come could cost you more if you don't catch this one early.

Now for the other problem at hand, if you suspect she is out doing a bit more than just partying with the girls. I would make a firm date with her for dinner or lunch, then have a heart to heart with her over it. Don't dilly dalley around the subjectbe nice and clam, just ask her to be honest with you about it. You will be better off in the long run for it, have a clear head and not be hiding be hide cars.

good story, i was expecting to hear something like she got in the car with the other guy. Just ask her straight up if she is cheating on you. The car i would also suggest to take it to the shop.

Sort of nice people are giving you pointers on the GF, but that is completely made up....just part of the joke. Get it?
 
Yeah - Thanks for all the advice everyone :) , but that really isn't happenibg to me. I mean, C'mon, I don't think I could sleep at night knowing that my car had rust on it. :lol :rofl I guess I should have put some kind of disclaimer on it telling you guys it wasn't a true story - at least not in my case. I just saw it on the net this morning and I knew you guys would get a kick out of it!!

It really goes to show how DC is really a tight-knit online community though! :)

yeah kinda figured it wasnt a true story, just had to be nice, just in case
 
I knew it was a stretch. You would have never been burdened with such a thing and would be ahead of the curve. Certainly you would have dropped your GF in order to afford the appropriate car repair. :mohawk
 
well you had this ole man going but now I hope your car rusts for pullin my leg..............Just kidding!
