I got some awesome business once from a guy in Minnesota who found a craigslist ad under the name 'OCDetails' and he did some research online. It wasn't even me advertising, but I guess he liked what he saw and wound up flying me out to take care of his little fleet. It was kind of a shocker to have someone do that, but I don't turn down that kind of business. EVER. lol The funny thing was that the guy using my name was actually an old Autopian whom I banned (multiple times) and he kept coming back for more. I was pretty sure he hated my guts, so it was a surprise to see him using my business name. I hope I get the chance to thank him for the referral someday though. lol
So the message there is that not everybody who steals winds up doing damage. Sometimes the publicity is good. Usually it isn't though. That's the nice thing about the forums. When your work is well enough known there are always guys out there willing to report picture thieves and article thieves when they find them.
