This can't be glue

Just got a 01 Chevy Astrovan; proceeded to take off plastic panels; they pulled off fairly easy but there was a 1/4 inch (1/4" thick, 2" wide, 3 lines length of van) of glue left behind. I have tried wd-40, pb blaster, turpentine, floor stripper,(I'm going to repaint these areas so paint stripping is not important), I've gotten most of it off but man what a job. Does anyone know of an easy quick way to get this stuff off?:wall
 
Those wheels are great. Like a giant eraser. Careful only to use it on a metal panel. I used one on a bumper and it tore right into the plastic. But on a metal panel they take all kinds of junk off without really harming the paint
