Thinking about trying Poorboys

With a rotary there is hardly any hazing if any...depending on the car of course. Sometimes a lighter polish is need via D/A machine.

My interest in Poorboys is growing and growing, I used EX-P, liked it very much easy on with PC and easy off with MF. The results were very nice. I plan on putting lots or poorboys products on my Christmas list. I find that being able to use them in the sun is a big plus because I don't have a garage to do work in.

I also bought some PwC, I tested a small 1'x1' section on a car by hand, and it looked liked it cleaned pretty well, left a pretty slick finish, and some protection behind. Can't wait to do a entire car with Pwc and PC, seems like an AIO type product. Although I have to really try it out a few times to really tell.

I have used DACP with PC and was very pleased. I hear lots of people saying that SSR2.5 is the same. So besides being able to use SSR2.5 in sun, What is the difference? And why do I see so many going with SSR2.5 over DACP?

I really want to try the SSR's and will Probably pick up 2.5/2/1 Just to give them a shot! Even if I find Dacp works better for me, I could still use them up when I'm working in the sun. I am also looking to try PP,EX,BnB,NL, and can't forget the Natty's. Did I miss anything? :D Any discounts or packages available?

DACP is just a bit difficult to use. It breaks down slowly. It's just in terrible need of a remake. I have yet to find the "cleaner" part of the name in the actual product--infact I was told by Meguiars that it is meant to be used on new or like new paint so this left me scratching my head as to why they say it's a cleaner as well.

It does have some fillers. Whether or not Meguiars designed it to have fillers, it has filled in swirls quite well for me, until I went over the panel with an alcohol/water solution and found hey, it didn't really do much!

It does work much better by rotary though. It's just an oily, finicky product. Most of the products in my bin make me look forward to using them but DACP makes me turn around and get a cold can of ginger ale because I know I'm going to get a stomach ach from using it after awhile.

In most cases you can go straight from SSR2.5 to a paint cleaner in prep for sealant or carnauba. I have noticed slight marring from it at times but overall, it breaks down to a fine enough polish that SSR1 is not needed.

That would be consistent with my experience as well.

I love the Poorboy's products that I have tried.
