Think I found my best combo, but I haven't heard of EX-P topped with CMW!!

03COBRA

I miss my 03 Cobra......
So I gave it a try, I just wasn't happy with the lack of wet look of the EX-P! So I decided to try it topped with CMW, and man am I a happy camper! I have the wet look back but it seems to have a deeper more clearcoat look with a very wet exterior! It's one of the hard to explain things that the pics won't do any good! But I have to point out that the EX-P is a great product, I love it on light colors, my girls s-10 looks amazing now that I have 2 coats of EX-P on it and I love it, I wouldn't top it with anything!! Just curious why I haven't heard of this before, am I an idiot for doing this! from what I understand the CMW does not remove the EX-P, right? Anyways, I just wanted to post some pics of this combo for the guys on the fence, I thought about using Natty's or one of those, but I had the CMW at home so I decided to give a try!!

Wow man those reflections are crazy  . Awesome job on the detail :up  . Your not crazy for trying that combo, thats the fun part of playing around with different combos and products. I'm sure other people will experiment with this combo.

Keep up the good work:xyxthumbs

Nice combo! I generally use EX-P on colors that look best with a super clear look (like lighter colors) but I also like the look on black too but I would agree it isn't quite as rich and deep looking as CMW is.

CMW does have some solvent carriers like most other liquid waxes do but I don't know exactly how much of the EX-P it may have removed. I do know that even after polishing with VM, applying CMW over it noticably adds depth and wetness.

 Looks good. I have black cars and was thinking of trying the VM/EX-P/S-100 combo. Maybe I'll try CMW instead. What exactly is CMW? Its not in the acronym list

Looks great man! I am shocked at how often you detail your car lol! You are more obsessed than I am! I generally use the EX-P on lighter colored cars (like my own) because it adds a nice clear and reflective look. I have used it on dark colors as well with great results too, but I like the regular EX for dark cars better. I am glad you topped EX-P with CMW. You will definitely see more depth and wetness now.

I just went back to the Klasse combo on my car 2 weeks ago and I think I will be switching back to EX-P in a week or two. I have been dying to try out the Meguiars #16 wax over EX-P.

Did you ever try out the Vanilla Moose?

Hey Firebird, give the VM/EX-P/CMW a try! I was blown away by it! Got to Specialty Motoring or pakshak.com . They will have all of the products you will need, I have not dealt with the gentleman that runs Pakshak, but I here he is a good guy! I get all of my stuff from specialtymotoring, Scott is a great guy, always has time to give advice! Yesterday I called him to order products from him, he was in the car and pulled over to take my order and give me advice on product knowledge, he is a great guy! Here is a link, go to it and buy the ClearKote Killer Combo, and buy a bottle of EX-P while you are at it, and I don't know what you use for an app., but ClearKote has these square apps., ask for a pack of them and try them out, they have made my life a lot easier! Anyway, hope this helps!

ClearKote Killer Combo!

You have to watch the Pak Shak guy. Those islanders are kinda shifty if you ask me. :D

I think it's too much exposure to sun and sand. Oh the misery of that life....:D I wonder if he needs a new employee....

It's all your fault Bryan!:p You kept giving all of the tips over at SVT and I remember everyone of the tips you gave!! I'm having a little bit of trouble with swirls though, so I picked up some SSR 2.5 to do the job! What do you mean did I try the Vanilla Moose? That's the first step of the job, VM/EX-P/CMW! I love that Vanilla Moose, I love all of the Poorboy's/ClearKote products! The ease of use is just incredible! Also, I put a second coat of EX-P on my girls gold/beige S-10, and oh my god, even she loves the way it shines, and I know that is saying a lot! Now people keep asking her is she had it repainted, and man what a feeling that is, to put all of that effort in and have people give her compliments, makes me and her feel good!
