These guys are my local competition...Video

This just looks like an ordinary car wash to me. I would not cal this detailing, and if you are selling detail, then they are not your competition.

So? Do you feel threatened by them? Are they going to take away your business? Do you want to get your cars washed by them now or something?

So you're going to make a music video showing young children washing cars, dancing, and spiderman? Because if those guys made it with that, I think you will.

In all seriousness, good luck with the meeting and let us know how it goes!

I've always made it a practice to niether praise nor ridicule my competition. It makes you look stupid either way... :bonk:

I have a meeting a the manager tommorrow so to show him how I can take care of you his cars better then his current so called detail guys.

I'm not sure exactly what is being said here. Are you going to approach this business for referrals (take their business) because you do a better job or handle what they don't? Are you going with the intent of giving them a beat down because they are bad? Are you handing them a job application or are you going to sell them product?

It does appear to me that this is a typical car wash/tint shop. I have no doubt they might have a detail shop (their shop looks adequate) but it doesn't seem that the video is dwelling on this part of the business.

Ehhh OK?
As Gearhead said.
What is the resolution you are looking for? I'm sorry I'm just very disoriented by the video. It's morning and Spider-Man is stuck in my head.:(

In the business world their can be a separation of similar products / services- enough that they are not competitors nor are they really in the same market.

For example, Diesel Jeans, who sells jeans for $300-400 dollars doesn't loose sleep because Levi's sells a similar product for $20 dollars. Levi's definitely doesn't care that Diesel can sell jeans for 20x as much. It's a similar product, but a completely different market. They are not really competitors.

It's seems that Dre & Gary are well aware of their market, and they are focusing their efforts on attracting what they feel are the market group that will meet their business plan. To be honest, I liked their video, they look like they have fun, and selling a good is always positive (unless you work for a funeral home, maybe).

I didn't see any outrageous claims, no promises of swirl free paint or pebble beach show cars. Just shiny clean paint and wiped down door jambs.

If you consider this market your competition, I think you may uphill battle as they really seem to have a good hold on good-time marketing. You may consider moving a little higher up-scale.

Still trying to figure out what this even says..... Even with adding words or taking some out it still makes no sense.
