Dear God, I'd like to think that's a JROTC or Explorer Scouts picture, BigRon. But the gear looks way too expensive. Those Kevlars are way past my time, but the soldier in the background appears to be wearing an Israeli helmet.

Can you guys enlighten an old Marine on what the heck is going on in this scene?

I'm out of breath just looking at the picture of the poor kid in front.
 
Can't say as I can enlighten you, but my WAG is that we have a "photo-chopped" image. I also assume there is supposed some humor there, but admittedly it escapes me.
