The worst part of detailing...

The hot
The cold
The rain
The sun
The friends who want 8 hours of work done for 20 bucks and lunch

Also door jams, trunks, windows, short napped carpet, cloth seats, and dogs that ride in the car. I could keep going but this is a public forum lol

Interior windshields and rear windows that are severely slanted.....especially true when the car is small. Caddy CTS coupe & sedan come to mind. BUGGERS!!!

When the customer says "it's not bad". Or "I haven't washed it a while". And then wonder why it takes so long to do.

...when you finish polishing or waxing your motorcycle and a friend sits on your motorcycle and rubs their hands on the gas tank admiring the gloss and slickness. /cringe

It's the worst when you just get finished polishing to perfection, and someone comes along (without you knowing) and sets stuff on the hood to free up their hands so they can tie their shoe!! And it wasn't a clean microfiber towel!!

Seeing a freshly waxed car parked one hour outdoors attracting dust and particles floating by of every conceivable kind....while the non waxed cars look fine.

When two days after completing a 20 hour detail and coating, the customer calls you up and says, "I was looking on line for how to best wash a car, and I went and bought a truck brush...."

My favorite part of detailing is when I use a product that just works really well, is easy to use, and I'm getting great results without working too hard.

Because, I'm basically lazy. So if something is working out easier than I planned - I'm happy.

Worse part is when It rains or snows when your car is clean.

Inner barrels of wheels.
Lug nut recesses
47 layers of greasy tire dressing
Baked-on bugs
Road paint in the wheel wells
Jambs
The creases in weather stripping where little pieces of dirt get trapped
Sticky paint
Black paint
Vacuum resistant carpets
Children (lol)
That's all I can think of now.
