The worst I've ever seen!

Ok, I was out helping out a neighbour get his '94 Mustange ready to take into the dealer to get his brakes checked out, and well we got kinda carried away.

We went and put on his summer rims and tires, and it made a big difference in the look.

So I decided to go ahead and polish up his wheels for him, since I'm just that kinda guy.

So I get him to wash up the car. Of course he started on the dirties part, the wheels, but then He went strait to the hood with a sponge that he didn't even risnse:scared

I was like"NOOOOOOOOOO" and i dove to grab the sponge out of his hand.

I told him, " what the heck are you doing!!!!" Then he said, "what thats what I always do"

Well I set him straight on the ways of the wise towards washing, and gave him a quick lesson.

We then moved onto the tail pipes that were completely covered with burned rubber, and tar.

Ok, I can see why its like that since it is a " performance" car. So we get out the paint thinner ( just for the tailpipes) and got most of it off. We then hit it with some never dull, and he was doing a pretty good job of it, so I decided to head off to take a leak.

I come back, the tail pipes look great, but to my horror, HE HAD DID THE WHOLE BACK END BECAUSE THE CAN SAID IT WAS " NEVER DULL" SO HE THOUGHT THAT IT WOULD HELP THE PAINT!!!!!!!

:angry

I then drove the car under some lamps and I couldn't even see my face there was soo much marring! I think there was some serious damage.

I broke out the DACP and SFP, and got it looking better than the rest of the car!

He said that I am going to be doing his whole fleet of vehicles! :D I can't wait! He said its approximately 10 cars, so I can't wait!

PC HERE I COME.

ANOUTHER PERSON CONVERTED! I guess it just takes someone to set some people straight, and then they know to leave the more difficult stuff to professionals.

sorta reminds me of one of my friends. the first time he got his car, he tried to wash his car. unfortunately, he used an engine cleaner to wash his car, and got a big black stain on his white car.....

I'm serious I did JUMP for the sponge! I wish I got some before and after pictures of it.

I'll make sure to take some when I detail it.

It never ceases to amaze me how little the average person knows about just washing their car, let alone detailing it.

I may be detailing my sister-in-law's Durango tomorrow and her husband said it doesn't have any wax on it. I said "Good", when was the last time it was waxed? He said, I don't know but she washes it with Grease Lightning to get out the trouble spots.

You can imagine my response.........
