APC = All Purpose Cleaner

Pads

6" LC Orange (compound/polish), White (polish), Gray (final polish) and Blue (LSP)

4" LC Orange and White for compounding/polishing

Different manufacturers have different colors for the same purpose. Edge has yellow, orange, green, blue, white ( colors from the most aggressive to the least). Lake county has their own color designation and others can chime in as to what they are. If you want a red pad, get a red pad but make sure you know what its designed purpose is. I could be wrong but, I think LC red pads are for your last step application of wax.

Are Edge 200 pads a good choice over LC? I like how they don't need backing plates and both sides can be used.

Edge pads are nice.... I don't use them anymore (strictly LC pads now) because i was not fond of the adapter. I got a pad washer system, and never looked back at having double sided pads. Now I can do so much more with 1 pad its not even funny. I don't know How I did it without the pad washer.

One more bump before I make a thread in the machine polishing section about which pads I need.

But overall, is that shopping cart good to go? Right polishes, sealant, glaze, etc, etc?

no offense, but do you know how to use all this product you're buying? Investing in some time here at Autopia would be invaluable. The search feature is a great tool.

I know all the basics of auto detailing, just not with a machine. In the first post I mentioned that I am making the shopping cart for my friend who is new at this and then we will be detailing our cars with the supplies. I have read all the tutorials multiple times on Autopia before. Thanks for your concern...
