It's simply a water filter isn't it? You didn't mention what it costs but I use this and it performs flawlessly for less than $40, never a water spot, even when drying in the sun.

we can get away with this because NY water is the best in the nation, besides our flouride induction, our water is extremely soft and clear



I can believe this to be the case as the Mr Clean auto dry filter used to work great for me, if you got past the trickle out water pressure it gives

This unit is the filter. There are no cartridges inside. The tank holds the resin bed. If you were to crack open the top, you would see the resin inside. The manufacture cleans the resin making the filter perform as new.

Yikes! That's awefully inconvenient to send the whole thing back in. I would prefer a filter-based system.

The cartridge I use on mine deionizes. Still not a 100% cure, but an improvement. Even without a filter of any kind, using a wash,then dry method a section of the car at a time results in avoiding spots for me the great majority of the time and that can even be in the intense, midday Florida sun.

What about the door jambs and under side of hood and boot etc. Still have to hand dry those

Not unless you are too impatient to wait. When I rinse, I hit the gaps too.
