In my reply to some of this many of you will think we have gone from one wack case to another:dance:woot2:



Where do we ever read in Scripture concerning a "one world government"? Or what does it state about the "mark of the beast'?



Those terms are thrown around a lot, especially within conspiracy groups and/or individuals. This is because most of these very same people read the Scriptures already looking for something to agree or coincide with their beliefs.....in other words they have a preconceived notion of what the Bible OUGHT to say. For example, many UFO groups hold to a belief that "God" is code word for an alien race far superior to ours and that we their offspring....of sorts. So first believing this they turn to the Bible and think that there must be something within it that supports their belief and they then stumble upon Ezekiel 1.



4 As I looked, behold, a storm wind was coming from the north, a great cloud with fire flashing forth continually and a bright light around it, and in its midst something like glowing metal in the midst of the fire.



5 Within it there were figures resembling four living beings And this was their appearance: they had human form.



6 Each of them had four faces and four wings.

WOW! Not only does this describe a UFO but also the alien creatures within that UFO! Then our lovable UFO-ologist reads Genesis 6 and discovers that these "aliens" harvested females of the earth and implanted within them beings to perhaps become the "lizard-people" that now rule much of the earth and in some eyes are part of the new world order.



There are so many conspiracy theories out there now that it's ridiculous. Most of them in some way turn to the Bible for support and it's usually Revelation and some books of the Prophets they cite but is that what it really means? Just how much information is stated about the infamous "mark of the beast"? Is "666" the real mark?



First, the phrase "mark of the beast" is not what many think it is based on TV and movies. No where does it state it's a literal mark of "666". Scripture is unclear if it's even a literal physical mark of any sort but more likely that it's a spiritual mark. Also, is it the number of the beast or the number of man?

18 Here is wisdom Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for the number is that of a man; and his number is six hundred and sixty-six.



So from this we gather that "666" will be marked on people but for what reason? Again is it a literal mark of "666" or something else? Or perhaps God has ALREADY marked people as His "Beloved" and marked all others as "cursed" thus a spiritual marking?



Also, the only true mention of a "one world government" is attributed to God and His rule over earth, not man. In Revelation, after the last battle, Jesus is said to rule over all with peace.....I'm paraphrasing here of course....but depending on how you see the "end times" God and His Rule is the one world ruling that Scripture speaks of. I personally hold to a belief that most of Revelation has taken place already, perhaps even the second coming of Christ Jesus....but that's another debate.
