Correct. But, just because it says 22 posts, and a join date of Dec. 27 on my profile doesn't mean I am stupid, or know anymore than anyone else here for that matter. We're talking about a Mircofiber towel, not an unknown fabric of some sort. It's not rocket science.



I believe what I said was understood as it was meant to be. If what I said wasn't the accepted term used around here on the forum, then so be it.



Regardless, my post was understood, and it was the type of information the OP was asking for, correct? The links were posted, as asked. And I gave my thoughts/opinon on each towel.



I seriously don't see why this even being discussed more. It is something so small it can just be overlooked, and we can move. Agree fellas?



If someone has something else they'd like to say, or add, PM me and we can discuss. There is no need to ruin this thread.

Think of what you use MF towels for !!!! You use it to apply polish, remove polish, dry, wash, QD etc. So you need a towel that will be multi purpose. CG's elite plush is the best towel I have found that fits my bill. A short nap on one side and a thick nap on the other. The short nap is very useful in removing products that are hard to remove. A super plush towel won't do that. CG's are quality towels. JMHO !!!

The monster fluffy was the plushest towel I had until I got my 10 pack of eurow towels in the mail. They seem softer plusher and about 10% of the price.

I've never seen any other vendor sell them. Not that I would switch from DP's anyway. Top service from them.



Eurow's stuff feels nice but the build quality of their mitts and other towels is sometimes average.
 
as others have mentioned on here, there are plenty of good, high quality mf towels out on the market. some of the boutique brands are all hyped to be the best out there (i've been let down), and there are plenty of other options that easily compare equally, if not better. if YOU like what you are using and get good results, that's all that matters...



easy choice here ---> 3 pack of monster fluffies $24.95 OR 10 pack of the Eurow shag towels for $21.10...
 
as others have mentioned on here, there are plenty of good, high quality mf towels out on the market. some of the boutique brands are all hyped to be the best out there, and sometimes it's simply not true. there are plenty of other options that easily compare equally, if not better. having different mf towels is like having different tools for a job. some are going to serve a better purpose/task more than the other. it's good to have a variety...

the best offering from Eurow is the shag towels hands down, and they are equally as nice as the monster fluffy...

The Eurow is without a doubt a plush towel. I order a pack. They are shag on both sides. So plush they are to much plush for me. Hard to remove waxes or sealants that make a hard bond. Thats why I recomend the CG's towels. Or you can have some of both, a super plush like the Eurow and CG's ....
 
what is the point of having the plushest towels? Can someone tell me what plush means? A fabric? Like people said above you cant use these for buffing off wax/polish, but great for QD. There are so many towels out people like/dislike. Its all ones opinion.
 
Wow, I must have been gone a long time! The softest, thickest towel in my inventory is the DF Towel. I love them, they work great for QD, drying with QEW, and are not bad for buffing wax, though there are better towels for that. They are by far my most used towels, and are about 5 years old at this point and holding up great.

I *think* that in this context "plush" means a thick, deep, long nap.



The deep/thick nap makes it easy to use them with extremely low applied pressure, good for situations where marring is the main concern. And that thick nap can be good for trapping contaminants when doing things like QDing.



I use them for QD/ONR, both of which I generally avoid due to concerns about marring. The Monster Fluffies give me a little added safety.

I *really* like my CBT/DFTs, but with the crappy water situation I'm constantly struggling with they eventually get too stiff for softer paints. For people who don't have such issues, yeah, they're a great towel, good for a very wide range of applications. I'll still take the Monster Fluffy for QDing though ;)

Different approach here; I use various types of MFs (and other towels), each one being what *I* prefer for the given task. Though I really get by with three or four types: suede-style, plush, ultra-plush, and somewhat aggressive. It's just the way I usually tend to approach stuff; there always seems to be *one* type of [whatever] that's perfectly suited to the task at hand (at least IMO).
 
That is a good way to use your towels. I do have others than CG's that I use for specific tasks.

Have you ever done any testing to determine what the problem is? Perhaps you have a malfunctioning softener? Hach makes some little inexpensive test strips to check for total hardness as well as specific minerals/metals. Of course, your water softener people would probably check for you as well.

According to my plumbing contractor the softeners are working fine :think: I really oughta delve into this but I just don't get around to it. Yeah, my bad :o



I've considered going with some different system (e.g., deionizer) but replacing the softeners would be a monumental undertaking due to their positioning/plumbing runs/etc.; my builder didn't make allowances for future changes :(



I *thought* I had things better under control, towels had been coming out nice and soft with the vinegar rinse. But the last few weeks things have gone downhill again. Can't think of anything (under my control) that's changed AFAIK so no idea what's to blame :nixweiss
 
Maybe a good wash in some strong Degreaser (with hot water) and a couple of rinses.
