The science of applying sealants thinly?

Well the most impportant factor in being able to apply a thin coat is one that hasn't been discussed yet. That is surface preparation. I find that after a clay bar/polish that very little product is used. I've easily gotten 40--50 coats out of a 16 ounce bottle of Klasse AIO or SG when the surface is well prepared. And I usually do one coat on the vertical surfaces, and 2 coats on the horizontal ones. I use a damp pad rung out as much as I can. Sure it's not quite as good on the first horizontal surface coat, but it's usually optimal for the sides and second coat.

I have been using WG and DG105, both applied with a Meg's foam applicator. I probably use 10x as much product as the super thin croud, but that's just me. I can always squeeze a half teaspoonful out of the pad after application. I've never had a problem removing these products, but I did with Natty's Blue.
