The Road to Cavillino complete (177 pictures) 1 wk from show

put me on the list of people who love that car. love that car. !

hard to believe the 'new' C4 vette came out in same year ('84) - which was light years behind that stallion

Todd - amazing work and I can't add much to what has been already said. Keep em coming!

Please tell me the owner will be trailering that beauty to the show.

Good job on the red paint! :2thumbs:

:har:

Todd, Having seen you work a black Ferrari 430's paint to a gloss like no other in the past, I am still quite impressed w/ your dedication and hard work on this project. I think its great that you take the time to show each step you perform so that others can learn from your process.

The scary thing is the BBi was an evolution of a design that orginally debuted in 1974... But you have to love the '84 Vettes as well, there is something so "A"Team about them :D.

Thanks Puck! The car will be trailer, and isn't really going to be driven until after Cavallino in January. After it wins platinum (fingers crossed) then it will return to road duty where it belongs!

Thanks Bryan, you did get me with the usual four word response. Quite the trickster!

I can't believe how good the interior looks, did you bring a team of experts in to spend multiple hours on it or something?

Absolutely superb detail and write-up! Looks as perfect as a 23-year-old car can! :bow

Thanks Scott!

I will have more pictures up Sunday or Monday, as Sunday is the first show. Brian (VASuperiorShine) and myself just spent another 6 hours on the car yesterday, making sure it is ready. I think it will literaly blow people away!

WISH ME LUCK GUYS!!!

Aww, you got me excited that there would be new details/pictures.

There are, check the 5th post!!!!

Looks like Alfred is going to the bat cave and jumping in the batmobile to take care of some judges:bat , but will wait for the final results.

Todd, even though I only attacked the interior, I was proud to stand by that machine at the show today. Very cool cars were in attendance, many of which are in dire need of a pro's touch as I could tell "when" the sun was out.

Does the motor have to run to determine ranking as well?

I like when cars like these are driven in. Like the old fashion car shows. :2thumbs: :p

But then again, we're detailers. So we like to lessen the chance of any dirt getting on the car.

Yes Andrew, all lights, controls, ect need to function. Unfortunately the BBi's radio didn't work (went out the night before) which did result in a reduction. But not enough to keep up from defeating the other cars in our class, which had won Platinum at Cavallino!!!

Second in class :(, because of the radio not working (orginally marked as best in class),.

At least you did your job! The radio not working isn't something you could've "detailed."

So I believe you did your job and MUCH more. Just amazed by every CnB you have to offer.

Oh yeah, it's crazy how detailed the judges are for you to think about repainting the tool set. :p

Hell of a job bud!

I just signed up here to say WOW!!! what a great job, very talented. Do you make trips north to the Jacksonville area? Ponte Vedra to be exact. Is there anyone in the jacksonville area who can do a job that looks like this when completed? I had a guy come last winter and detail my SL55 but I didn't think it was that great. I have a 360 spider down there in the garage now that I will need to have done a some point this winter. It was detailed before the car was shipped down but I don't know at what level the detail was. Also I am having a Porsche shipped down around the first part of next month that will need to be done as well. Once again VERY IMPRESSIVE!!!!!:shocked :wow:
