Ron- Huh, I always figured it was for the trunk lid to clear even though I`d never read that (just a seemingly obvious, though incorrect, observation that I made as a Superbird owner).

i agree! I am sick of hearing it and watching people trying to figure out whether to salute or take their hat off or stand up. Play "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" and be done with it. Baseball is supposed to be fun. The Braves have an operatic tenor that sings it and I turn the volume off.

So I was at car show yesterday and was talking to one of the regulars........ He told me he wanted to go for a swim before going to the show. He pulled the "solar cover" off and dove in.
he said it was over 100 degrees when he looked at the thermometer in the pool......

At what point is that considered a hot tub?! It would seem the cover is insulating and heating the pool more than keeping it cool. The pool here has been sitting at around 87 degrees.

I had a duh moment. I was thinking it was a cover to reflect heat, not trap it in! Can you tell I`ve never owned a pool before?
