:rofl the rain god has spoken this morning. i did wash this morning, knowing they are calling for rain all weekend. just got done drying it and it started to pour. oh well, at least i got the bugs/crap off it. if it does not move, it should stay clean. no rain all week, but of couse on the weekend. we need it anyway. now, will it break at any point so i can cut the grass?

You may think its odd but I like washing before the rain because that way whatever dirt or crap in on my van wont mix in with rainwater and water spot . My neighbors must think Im crazy :crazy2: but I dont really care!:D

Your neighbors might think you're crazy, DC, but we all know for sure.;)

I agree with you on your point. I don't go looking to wash before the rain, but if my car needs a wash, then it gets a wash. I don't care if it is supposed to rain.

It could be worse. My neighbor just finished his vehicle. Then we had baseball and tennis ball hail for 3 minutes. Vehicle was totaled. All glass on 3 sides gone too.

I can manage some empathy in regards to automatic sprinklers, specifically those who need adjustment to keep them from spraying and/or running off into the streets. This is wasteful. For those who knowling park in the area of those automatic sprinklers, they get what they deserve...wet.

As for any whining about rain...ZERO (that means NO) tolerance. One the state of Texas, a huge contributor of produce and beef to this country is suffering through one of the worst droughts in history. We desperately need rain and as mentioned above I would wash all my personal vehicles (and customer vehicles - including a "rain warranty") if it would guarantee a significant rain event. And excluding monsoons and other flooding rain events, we know enough around here to welcome rain no matter the circumstance. Besides, rain gives us all the opportunity to do what we supposedly profess to enjoy...clean our rides.

Hope it rains soon in Texas (alot) they really need it there.

later half of the day was fine. cut grass. (first time in 4 weeks due to heat and no rain). did a quick wipe down with griots speed shine.

Here in KC the average rainfall for one year is 120 days.

So that's an average of every third day.

You just learn to live with it and enjoy washing, cleaning, detailing twice a week!!! :yay
