PA DETAILER

DETAILED TODAY?
we all have had it happen.
happened to me last nite!

after washing and detailing your ride.....

IT RAINS!!!

You need to add one, not sure if this just happens to me but it usually starts raining before I finish!

I thought Florida has been having water shortage problems yet I hear it rains all the time.

I only have rain issues in the winter here in NO CAL...however once the rain season starts here in CA...people stop having anything done to their cars!

Californians are funny that way.

ha! several times this summer i found myself watching the storm roll in as i was buffing off wax!
the water did bead up nice, tho...

oh yeah, and that rain they forecasted all stinkin day yesterday while i was detailing the xD? not one single drop yet! i coulda used the PB EX, but that's ok. i'm sure that as i finish a 2nd coat of Natty's Blue it will start to rain!

one of my regular customers dropped their new camary off last sunday to get detailed while she is on vacation all week. well needless to say that she is suppose to come pick the car up today and it has been storming pretty hard here since late last night.... she wont even make it out of my driveway without it getting dirty. almost feel bad charging for the detail...

Man last time I gave my car the full 9 yards, wax + sealant, then that damn storm came out of nowhere in the gulf and rained for days and days. I swear it felt like all the rain washed away all the wax and sealant I put on my car. Maybe it didn't but mentally it did!

Well I've been washing my car at least once a week but I haven't seen rain in over a month. I would wash my car every day if I meant seeing some rain

It rains every day in the summer here! Seriously, I am so anal about water spots that I live my life to avoid them (and traffic!). Ask Mike Phillips from Autogeek, I will move his show cars out of his garage and pull my car in just to avoid a potential drizzle. I also keep a bottle of ONR in the trunk, armed and ready to go should a rain storm hit.

Im going to start carrying a bottle of ONR too. I washed the car last week and ran to the store a little later. Came out to find my car all wet and the rest of the spaces were dry. The store turned on their sprinklers and of course I parked infront of the broken one.

I know that feeling well and can definitely relate. What kills me is the sprinklers! Worst water in the world! When there's no avoiding the rain I have the garage all set up in advance with all my rinsing and drying equipment ready to go. In the summertime rains only takes me about a half hour , maybe a little more here and there to get everything all dry and shiny again.

I can manage some empathy in regards to automatic sprinklers, specifically those who need adjustment to keep them from spraying and/or running off into the streets. This is wasteful. For those who knowling park in the area of those automatic sprinklers, they get what they deserve...wet.

As for any whining about rain...ZERO (that means NO) tolerance. One the state of Texas, a huge contributor of produce and beef to this country is suffering through one of the worst droughts in history. We desperately need rain and as mentioned above I would wash all my personal vehicles (and customer vehicles - including a "rain warranty") if it would guarantee a significant rain event. And excluding monsoons and other flooding rain events, we know enough around here to welcome rain no matter the circumstance. Besides, rain gives us all the opportunity to do what we supposedly profess to enjoy...clean our rides.
