Bottom-line...is this a good product for someone that isn't into car detailing, but washes and waxes their car/truck a few times per year?

looks dangerous to me. Even if you do just wash your car once in awhile, you would be safer probally with just a wash mit and couple buckets of water, less scratches and things. Either way, make sure anything that touches your car is nice and clean, and no dirt or anything stuck in your brushes.

Even if you do a complete detail 2X a year, IMHO the $$$ spent on a PC 7424 is worth it and will pay for it self in the long run..
